Very good Phone with a couple of in-depth
Overall I really enjoy this phone. I've had it since September 2019 and use it with T-Mobile in the USA without any issues. This is my first Blackview phone and my experiance with this phone gives me a lot of faith in the company. When it's time for a new phone, it's very likely I will purchase another Blackview device. For reference, I bought this phone to replace my CATS60.Pros:-great looks (in my opinion)-its light and the size fits me perfectly. My wife says it's too big and heavy for her though (she's very petit).- One of the best things about this phone is the great battery life. When I'm using it heavily for games and streaming videos it will still last about 6 hours which is very impressive.-very responsive screen and great speed when using the phone. Clearly the hardware is very good and applications, for the most part, run great. This is a far more capable phone (hardware and software wise) than the other rugged phones I've had in the past.-while I have never fully submerged this phone, I have used it in very heavy rain and for streaming music in the shower. I have used it while wet many times and it has been exposed numerous times to water, sand, dirt and always comes out working juts fine. I have even washed it in the sink by holding directly under the faucet with no issues.-the phone came with headphones, a plastic screen protector, micro-USB to USB-C adaptor, SIM Card tray opener, and charger. It is all packaged very nicely and neatly.-wireless charging works great-pictures are good quality-survived all my drops and stubles without issue. Full disclosure though, I did buy a cheap TPU case for it because I didn't want it to get scratched up. I have not dropped it without the case on.-fingerprint sensor works great. If I have issues with it it's always because either my finger or the sensor is dirty and needs to be wiped.-screen actually works relatively well in the rain, which surprised me a lot. The CATS60 used to get confused and think rain drops were finger touches, but this phone doesn't usually have that issue.-FM radio works great. I listen to NPR in the mornings an so I always use this feature when it's available on phones.-64bit OS so it has longevity with apps and games-back speaker for watching videos and speakerphone calls is very loud. I wish I could say the same for the front speaker, which I wish was louder. I often change calls to the speaker phone because I can't hear well otherwise. Loud speaker should be in the front of the phone.Cons: three are a lot. But none of them are game changers for me, and I still love this phone.- Over time I have notced the batter has degraded some. I wish it had a battery management system so that the battery doesn't get cycled too much when plugged in. The fast charging works great, but I don't usually need to charge it fast because I'm plugging in at night when I'm sleeping so an option to turn off fast charging would also be great to extend the life of the battery. This is a problem with basically any device that uses a rechargeable battery though, so I don't fault the company at all.-USB-C port is extra deep. This means you need special extended tip charging cords; you can't juts pick up an extra cable at the store when you need it. This is frustrating because even on amazon, there's only one company I've found that sells the extended tip cables that work with this phone, and those cables are not the highest quality no matter what they advertise. I've had three cables break now, including the one that came with the phone originally. I really wish Blackview would reconsider having the extra deep port.- the charging port has no cover. The CATS60 has covers for all the ports that you can open and close. It has one for the headphone jack, charging port, and SOS button. This phone doe not have that for the charging port (and doesn't have a headphone jack or SOS button). The phone is still water/dirt resistant but the lack of a cover means stuff can still get in the port. In particular, this is a problem with sand/mud/ dirt, where it's difficult to clean out the port if you want to charge it. I resort to using a toothpick to try and clean the port when I'm coming back from working in very dusty/sandy/muddy places. Even if I wash it out with water, that means I can't charge it until it's dry inside or else I risk damaging electric components. I can't exactly dry it well though because it's extra deep. Blackview should really, really, really consider a cover for the charge port....something like the speaker switches on the CATS60, but for the charge port, would be phenomenal.-no headphone jack. This is my least favorite part of the phone. I can't use any of my headphones with it. I only have one set of headphones I can use with this phone, and it's the set that came with it. I can't use any of the USB-C to headphone adaptors because none of those adaptors fit in the extra deep USB-C port on the phone. This is an issue for three reasons. 1, I use the FM radio on the phone, which only works with wired headphones. Phone radios use the headphone wire as the antenna, so this function doesn't work with wireless headphones. 2, it saves battery to not have bluetooth running for headphones. 3, you can't use wired headphones and charge the phone at the same time. At the very least, this is an adaptor that should have been included with the phone.-camera's have trouble focusing. It is capable of taking great pictures but often I have trouble getting it to focus correctly.-phone doesn't handle notifications well from certain applications. I play SWGOH and Pokemon Go, and notification from both games are usually delayed quite a bit. I'll receive notification from SWGOH sometimes hours after the event occured, and sometimes I get no notifstions from either application.- the buttons are very sensitive. Too easy to push. Before I had the case, I would accidentally change my volume and turn off the screen all the time because they are very easy to depress. After adding the case, though, this was not a problem anymore.

Keeps going and going well
This is a hefty but sturdy device which lives up to the name 'rugged'. I have dropped mine more times than I can count, have the back of the case cracked, and had the camera glass crack - still works perfectly well and the screen is still perfect. Fingerprint reader works fine. The battery is still performing excellently - 3 days to a charge nearly 1 year later with GPS use (although this performance may deteriorate because I have begun connecting the phone to the car to use Android Auto: car chargers currently wear out phone batteries, rumoredly due to inconsistent voltage). The device has plenty of apps running, taking 2-3 G of RAM, so it's definitely being used to the fullest. One thing to know: The built-in case requires a longer USB connector than usual. This created a surprise problem for an infrared camera that I wanted to attach to the phone - even with the connector on the infrared device fully extended it would not connect with the phone. Keep this in mind when purchasing accessories. But this phone was definitely worth it; when this one dies - will buy from the same brand.

No video calling
The media could not be loaded. A smart phone with out the ability to make video call in 2019 is kind of useless. Duo is nice but when I want to call my kids or wife is in trip and wants to show something mid call who wants top hang up and use another app.Now let's talk rugged somehow my flash gift cracked I don't recall doing the thing to hard or at all. I carried the thing in my pants pocket or breast pocket of winter coat. All the scratches in the picture are from that. Rugged 🤔 I feared to put it thru the rest of the paces. It had reasonable sound quality. The battery life was subpar over a normal 10hr workday period I use Facebook on the train to scroll thru my feed. Than switch to iheart radio for 3hrs, then to spotify for 2, followed by Yahoo for lunch 1/2he than spotify for 2.5 than Facebook for train home and have 5% battery by 1/4 of the train ride.I liked the tools and it did keep the memory clean. Perhaps to clean as it would close apps in the back ground as soon as the screen locked, you have to edit each app in the settings you don't want this to happen to. I mean really iheart and spotify sure wanted those to shut off after the screen locks who wouldn't and the navigation sure shut that off to.All in all not a great phone I returned it because my family was tired of no video calling and did not want to use duo.

Got a bad phone I hope.
Loved it while it lasted but after 4 months of use it is a brick now. Phone just shows black screen. Guessing it is the screen as it still responds to touch with feed back but no way to use. Will contact support but the recent reviews about not honoring makes me me feel like it is going to be a waste of time.Update: Contacted support and they did make it right by sending out new phone. I hope my first phone was just a lemon and the second one will last longer as I really do like this phone it has a ton of ram and features and for the price it can not be beat. I will update my review again if my second phone breaks unexpectedly again but for now I am happy with the replacement.

Don’t waste your money on this dangerous phone.
Horrible phone. Battery port shorted out, melted could have caused a fire had I not been home to unplug it.
