Why can be said about a hook and flange. I used it to move a ceiling light. First I added a chain, the hook ( so glad for the flange which locks the hook into the ceiling) and then the light. I was worried the flange may not hold the light. Make sure you screws the hook as far up as it will go and the flange about the width of your Sheetrock plus a bit. The flange must clear the Sheetrock to open but then screw it and the flange tightens. I used a small bit to make a hole for the screw and flange. Bring the wings of the flange together and slip through the drill hole.

The included hardware assures a secure and stable hook. You could use this to hang a plant as well, which I think I’m going to use one for. This is one of the fancier options for ceiling hooks. A lot of them just look like dollar store hooks.
