Canon PowerShot SX610 HS - Wi-Fi Enabled (White)

What a awesome compact camera. Have not used a camera in years. My last camera was a cool pix hated it to small of buttons and very user unfriendly. This Canon SX610 HS was exactly what I was looking for, with easy functions to navigate with. Being a novice at cameras this little baby is easy to use. Played around with it for a couple of hours and had a blast. It takes great pictures close or far away ( a nice zoom ) videos and the self-timer is a great feature. All pros no cons for this camera. Just read the guide play around with it, just go back to functions and menu if you have a problem you can't hurt it. I bike, hike, kayak, camp and fish and plan on using this camera for all my adventures. I plan on taking great pictures and videos and look forward to giving up dates as I go along. I tried to register this item on the Canon site to access the download for uploading pictures and discovered this is a knock off Canon camera. Canon cameras are made in Japan and the serial number doesnt start with a C. This camera says made in CHINA. DO NOT BUT FROM THIS SELLER. The only reason I realized it was fake was after trying to register then googling what the serial numbers start with. Wasted my money. I bought this camera for my newly started media production company. Quality of pictures is good. The video is not since the camera doesn't have the correct settings like the original camera. The manual focus isn't working correctly so I cannot use for my projects which why I bought it.

I purchased this used camera and it has exceeded my expectations. Even though it’s not brand new, it performs exceptionally well. I’m really glad I chose to buy from a small business instead of a large retailer. You can tell they take care of the products they sell and value their customers. The camera is everything I was hoping it would be: compact, easy-to-use, good battery life, and a good image sensor. However the flash is obviously an afterthought; you have to push a button to activate it (the camera UI reminds you of this) and then push it back down again when you're done. But even when you do, the flash is quite weak: it has virtually no effect on indoor shots, unless the subject is right in front of you. If you're 10 feet away taking a picture of a group, the flash doesn't accomplish anything, and the camera compensates by lengthening the exposure time, resulting in a blurry photo. But in well-lit situations the camera performs quite well.

This is my second one because i love this camera. (The first was destroyed in a torrential rain storm on Jekyll island). It's easy to use which is important to me...I'm not into gadget tech stuff,in fact i loathe that junk. I appreciate that this camera doesn't require too many steps for any action. I've dropped many many times and its still perfect. I love how easy it is to transfer to my phone for Instagram (that as my main goal). Sometimes i have to climb, or run...so its important to me to be able to shove it into a pocket. Granted i would love to have more control over shutter time,but this is a fantastic camera that's allowed me to take pictures that people have commented on their professional look.

Like other reviewers, I seem to have gotten one of the lesser cameras that was made in China. I don't believe it's a bootleg or a fake but rather a later model the company made with lesser quality. I purchased this so I could have better photos for my online sales but it's been absolutely disastrous -- everything is grainy, it can't take decent photos unless it's bright outdoor light. I hardly use this but instead use my Android camera which does better, which tells you something, since Android cameras are notoriously bad. My 10-year-old Canon PowerShot does better and it has ostensibly worse specs than this does. When I first used it for some late night shots of a cake with candles and no lights on, it worked great, but once I started changing settings it stopped working as well. I reset it to factory original settings with no help. I can compare the photos from the first night I took it out of the box to those I took after resetting it and there is a marked difference -- the blacks are mottled, the colors muted, the overall tone leaning toward a brownish tint I have to get rid of in editing. Like others, I was also unable to register this for the warranty and didn't realize what had happened until it was past the time I could return the camera. Please don't buy this camera unless you can see one in person and verify it is one of the better quality models made in Japan. I wasted a couple hundred dollars on this and have been disappointed for a very long time.

I love the camera ..its small, cute and meets my expectation. I needed a capable, versatile camera which takes decent low light/indoor pictures and most importantly fits in my pocket (I was not looking at a DSLR quality pictures) - this camera is perfect for my requirements and with the monster optical zoom thrown in, it exceeds my expectations. The picture quality is very good when shooting daytime outdoors and remains quite decent when shooting evening time indoors under normal home lighting with no grains whatsoever. Under extreme low light (candle light with no flash), I would certainly expect grainy pictures given the capabilities of the camera however one cannot get everything at this price point . Canon has added quite a few neat tricks like auto zoom in this camera which adds to the great impression that this product creates. Capable auto focus mode with neat macro mode thrown it .. decent ISO range , full HD video recording Love the Camera connect app of Canon which enables one to seamlessly pull pictures from the camera onto the phone as long as both are using the same wi-fi network ..neat !

This camera has an amazing zoom, is easy to use and has wide assortment of mode adjustments to allow you to take full advantage of photo shooting options. Night scenes, action, low-light, you name it. Videos are great too. I like that you can change the format/file size for higher quality pictures for printing, or smaller for uploading to FB Marketplace, etc. Only 2 things I wish were better is the microphone's ability to block wind and the playback volume is very low.

The camera stopped working after 6 months. No dropping. No misuse. It just stopped working. It won't turn on at all, even after full charging of the battery.

Good camera but not worth for the money, even my mobile cam with 13MP is far better than this worst camera, my mobile camera takes clear picture than this, also my mobile tooks 3mb for a single image but this camera doesn't take more than 1mb even if u take 100 images, only the good thing in this camera is zooming but not sure if that's 18 optical zoom, not showing how many optical zoom while zooming, I took photo it was clear in camera, after sending to my mobile it is blurr only u can view clear image in camera, I won't recommend this product. 0 star product.
