A show stopper
An excellent idea for displaying flowers. Its very solid and fits over the fence well. Good room for compost. Easy to water. I now have six of thesein different colours and keep adding. Its a wonderful way to brighten a railing or fence. They don't fade or go brittle either.

Five Stars
They're awesome. Sturdy. Clever way to make them stable on our balcony. Great product. I'd buy them again.Later review: I've had these for a month or so now and still couldn't be happier. Everywhere I look I see balcony plant hangers and NONE of them look as good as these do. They're just awesome.

Brightened up my decking and very stable.
I bought a few of these flower bridges in different sizes (60cm & 30cm) to brighten up my decking, which they have done with winter pansies, trailing ivy and mini conifers. Some reviewers said it's best to position them before planting as they are heavy to lift into place afterwards. But I have done what I do with my pots - put broken-up polystyrene in the bottom, which saves on compost as well as weight, before planting and then lifting into position. Once in position on the handrail, I found it easy to secure the planters against the railings with the black plastic stabilisers on their base, and they didn't budge an inch during Storm Brian!

Happy Customer
I have purchased three of these flower bridges to put on railings outside my shop. They are very easy to install and become reasonably stable using the stabilising rods (or fixators as they seem to be called). They are a definite improvement on traditional boxes and I would recommend them to anyone.Just a small point though, there should be two stabilising rods with each bridge and these are stored in the centre of the pot on special fixing points. Two of my three bridges had one of the rods missing when they arrived so I was only able to make up two complete bridges. Unfortunately it was not possible for Amazon to simply send two rods in the post and the whole bridge had to be returned and a replacement one issued. This was done extremely efficiently at no cost to myself however it didn't seem very cost effective for Amazon. Be sure to check you have both rods when the bridge is delivered. The only other note of caution is that if you put these bridges somewhere where they could be vulnerable to theft there is nothing to stop someone simply removing the fixing rods and carrying the bridge away. A simple improvement would be if during manufacture, a couple of holes were drilled into the middle section which fits over the rail to allow you to thread something as simple as a cable tie through and fix it to the railing. This fixing would then disappear when covered with compost and flowers so not spoil the look of the display but would stop the opportunist thief making off with your property.Overall these bridges are a great buy and I would definitely purchase them again.

These planters will fit onto a standard 4.5 inch wall!
On receiving the first order of these planters, we was surprised at howsmall the furrow was to mount the unit. We wanted to mount in on a one-course brick wall of 4.5 inches width. At first we tried to slot it onto the wall but the slot in the bottom of the planter appeared to be too small. However, a small amount of force allowed us to mount it on top of the wall, the downward force we put on it splayed the slot! We have a set of 5 planters astride our wall, full of flowers.

Good and Bad
Sturdy and up for the job. However, found a flaw during our wet summer. This is a self watering pot but there is very little of the soil / plant roots above the water collection level. As a result, plants rotted. I had to drill holes in the base to let the water out. This then meant that on the odd day when it was dry, plants dried out quickly. The position of drainage holes has to be thought out very carefully. Ideally this would be half way up the inside of the tub but there is no way to get a drill into that position.Overall looks good but the design practicality is flawed.

Really sturdy, dark enough to be nearly black, which is what I wanted. I think they'll be much better than the random small hanging troughs I had on my railings as they are deep and hold a fair bit of compost. HOWEVER! I've just noticed that exactly the same trough is £14 at Homebase. That's the price I paid for not shopping around first. Eight pounds less! One year later: I’ve upgraded my review to five stars (if you don’t pay more than £14-15). They are excellent. Plants seem to grow really well and don’t need watering so often as troughs are large and deep. If you don’t want the wall-of-plastic look (albeit recycled) you can grow some trailing plants at the edges - they’re big enough. Highly recommended.

Well designed and value for money and quality.
Bought previously from Wilko but had one of them broken after my neighbour thought he can climb my balcony even than it only kepts the plants in intacts only soil leaked out so replaced with this one again to match both side.I love the depth the roots can go and the seperation means one side plant other side herb. The fact they can't be lifted off easily has meant no one has nicked them off my balcony for years which is amazing i must say plus design makes it feel perfectly in style but the colour choosen timeless.
