Nice sturdy French press!

Second LeCreuset French Press I got my husband. After years and years of other types/makers, a few years ago I got him his first Le Creuset that finally met its end on the edge of our tile counter this past Autumn. So, a perfect gift for his early winter birthday 🙂The ceramic is beautiful, durable & holds heat nicely (we do preheat the body of the press on our flattop stove warming eye for maybe 10 minutes before pouring the (165) water) 4 minutes later- the perfect brew is complete & hubby is on his way to morning happiness in a mug. So easy to clean all elements of this press. We’ve never had coffee stains, the three year old one was in beautiful condition with effortless upkeep before he broke it.Highly recommend this French press to anyone who is serious about the best flavor of their day’s brew.

Although I love the beauty of the piece, the color was more blue tone than what I thought was in the picture (which I believed was more of a mint gradient near the top).I don't believe that the unit outperforms a typical glass or stainless steel model (nor does it underperform in any way). I find myself handling it very carefully where as with a stainless steel model you might think "whoops" as you bump the edge of the sink after rinsing it out versus the fear of having just destroyed $80.I had hoped that the material would retain heat better than it does (which is still better than glass however not as well as a stainless steel with double wall I used at an AirBnb recently)... You can still take your time before heading back for the second cup, but not too long.If the esthetics are what you are looking for then you will love the piece.

Ok. Love the look. Fits with other marbles I have. But the strainer doesn’t keep the grounds out. I’ve been using a tea strainer when I pour my coffee. My old,much cheaper, french press doesn’t require that. Seems like a no brainer that company should have fixed before selling.
