PLS HR 1000 Red Horizontal Rotary Laser Kit (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

This is a high quality, simple laser for level/elevation functions. You get the sense when holding the laser that it is substantial and well made. Does not have the slope feature of some of the other PLS lasers, but if you don't need that functionality in a laser this is a more simple unit.The included case is robust and should realistically hold up to most typical job site conditions. The grade pole is also very good quality, and is marked in tenths on one side and feet/inches on the other.I verified the accuracy of the unit right out of the box by setting the laser up 90' from a benchmark and taking a reading, and then rotated the unit 90deg three times and verified that the reading was within 3/32. It was spot on, which I believe speaks to the care and calibration that went into the unit at PLS.I expect to get many years of good service out of this laser.

Nice , simple, easy to use rotary laser level. Self leveling. The tripod is crap, flimsy and lightweight. Another aspect I don't like is that the detector's rod clamp does not allow an easy way to fine tune. I prefer to have both a clamp set screw and some sort of way to make small adjustments to detector height.

It was everything I expected it to be.
