Reasonably good. Gets the crema.
It does what it says and with the recommended espresso-grind coffee, produced an acceptable crema. Haven’t tried coarser grinds yet. You need to be sure to position the hole for the needle bang on target, but lining it up with the marks on the machine’s pod-holder is fine. Make sure the lid is properly closed or you get spurting. I think the non-sealing lid is a weak point and its hinge seems flimsy. Don’t over tamp or the water won’t get through. Of course you have the same messy task of getting rid of the grounds as you would with a cafetière, so it’s a bit of a faff. On balance I’d say that bought pods are best (duh!) but eking them out with the refillables would certainly make things far more economical and use less plastic. Note to the Chinese manufacturer: Please get a native-speaker of English to rewrite your instructions!

Well worth the money.
Great product. Cuts down on waste and expense. You may need to regrind some ready ground coffee as some are too course. If the coffee is too coursely ground you will get watery coffee. There is also a knack to using these pods to make sure they seal properly. I make sure the lid is pushed in from near the hinge first, then pressed closed all around. They give a good crema. Very easy to rinse out ready for next use. The bottom filter pops out for deeper cleaning.

Cheaper than buying all those pods
I have the Piccolo Dolce Gusto machine and these pods work fine in it. The pods are are sturdy only the lid part seems a bit flimsy I do wonder how that will fair over time, but filled with a medium to fine ground coffee they produce a good drink no leaking from the pod.Easy to clean just scoop out the grounds and rinse under tap seems fine. Much more economical I will buy these again if they wear out!

Solved a problem after I brought the wrong pods. Would not fit my machine. Now I just empty the pod into the blank! So simple and it works.

A cost effective and eco friendly alternative to conventional coffee pods
I bought these reusable coffee pods because I felt it would be a more cost effective and eco friendly option than buying the Dolce Gusto pods all the time.I find the pods quite easy to use. You need to position the hole in the top of pod at just the right point to ensure the water combines with the coffee. I’ve made a couple of school girl errors and the pods have been pierced in the wrong place. It affects how the coffee flows. Instructions are tiny and hence difficult to follow. Apart from that a great product.
