Uncle Albert and Quantum Quest

Downright awesome
The Uncle Albert series is fantastic to talk science with kids and get into experimenting. It has many levels to engage, so you can read this multiple times at different age levels and it always reveals new stuff. For the very litle ones, its just a travel story, for the older and more curious ones it has real science and experiments in it and for the grown ups, you get a chance to learn physics...my 7 year old loves them.

astonishing story
My grandson and I read this together and we both learned so much complex information so directly stated. I am 73 and he is 7 and we were totally thrilled with the science and the story.

A good night relaxing story
Bought this book for my grandkids. Really great read at nap time or a good night relaxing story. The flow of the story is quite good. A good read for the adult who does not know much about black holes. It's not your standard super hero comic book, but if you read it they hear. It is surprising how much they observe and understand.

Quantum Quest - Wish I had learned this way!
Uncle Albert is a GREAT way to introduce elementry school kids to higher level science in a really fun way! My son has been reading over and over again for the last 5 years. He has even corrected his one of his science teachers.

All young people should read.
I love the Uncle Albert books. Not only are they an entertaining read but they introduce the reader to some of the most fundamental yet counter-intuitive principles of our Universe. My daughter first read these when she was 10. In her words they are 'amazing' and 'really make you think'. As a physics educator myself I'd love to see all young people reading them. The concepts are not covered until at least age 17 in UK school curricula which I think is a great pity since young people are naturally full of wonder about the world around them and deserve to have their eyes opened to these important ideas. Forget fictional stories of magic. The real world is far more wonderful and seemingly 'magical' than most fiction writers have imagined.

Great book
This story presents the early development of quantum theory through the thought experiments of Albert Einstein and introduces some of the other important players and their ideas. All of this is done in a way that children of 11 and over can follow, but even adults will enjoy.

A friend's boy, aged 7, said he wishes there were books like this at his school. So he took it to read the other pupils in his class
