Never seen this before now but knew about it as culture pretty much references it as the de facto western flick. I see why now. This was really well put together and had three characters stories coming together where the three didn't trust each other but had to work together. The characters also seemed pretty genuine, like the soliders beening drinking and jaded; cynical and approaching negative with humor. A lot of good subtle humor as well and an amazing soundtrack.If you want a good western flick, this is it. Highly recommend.

Unbelievably slow movie. I was initially excited to watch it. But it turns out it was a waste of time. No real sense of direction. Boring plot. Disappointing.

Every man should watch this movie. Also, towards the very end, you can see a car drive by Tuco's face (to the right side) on the scene immediately before Blondie shoots him down from the noose.

though not the greatest western,that goes to THE WILD BUNCH 1969,but a fun and exciting western.lots of beautiful outdoor photography and wide open spaces that epic westerns are supposed to be.clint eastwood was the gary cooper of the 60s and 70s.eli Wallach steals the show as tuco and lee van clef gives his fair share as the baddie.

The movie depicts how cruel and ruthless were the times of civil war. The duo (Eastwood and Wallach) went through the stages of war by being captured by the North and South although they were not involved with the war. Their journey to obtain the treasure is remarkable and colorful. The battle scene in the end with (Van Cleef) is magnificent. The cinematography was outstanding and superseded the great direction . Wallach deserved at least an Oscar nomination.

I have seen this movie 60+ times and could watch it again right now, why? because it is the best western ever, excellent acting, excellent plot, excellent acting and characters!!! enjoy

Very good spaghetti western, 3 hours, wow! Great acting, many twists, lots of shooting, not enough wild women though, in fact none! Still entertaining, but you do need an intermission or two.

It's quite evident from the start why this is one of Tarantino's cult films. Even though some part are quite silly (and on purpose so) it is evident that this is a revolutionary film due to its scenography, photography, and history arch.
