Value bait-caster
Super-light reel. Takes a little getting used to because of the light-weight spool, but plenty of videos on youtube to show how to set it up to avoid over-runs! I have used mine a lot now and I really like it. No trouble with casting even very light lures to heavier lures . Just be aware when changing one from the other . The build quality is very nice on this reel and it looks like it should be more expensive than it is . I like the 'thumb button' this has a very solid action and doesn't feel like it is likely to fail any to soon . The handle is very nice as well and very comfortable to operate . The level wind works nicely and when I was playing quite a large Pollock the whole reel worked well as a whole with no strange creaking or the feeling that it was being 'forced' to wind in the weight . It has quite a high wind -ratio and can pull in yards of line very quickly , useful when retrieving over obstacles or weed ! The reel looks small when you pull it out of the box but also quality to look at . I would get another at this stage ,though it will be interesting to see what a year of use does to it . I feel I could recommend it as a good buy !

Good Baitcaster Reel For Beginners
Brilliantly made for price but no instructions to set up for a beginner with baitcasting reels . Advise go to Youtube ; plenty of videos there to assist set up on Kastking reels such as this one . Only one other point-- star drag works / adjusts counter intuitively, ie anti -clockwise " increases " drag settings .Settings that I have found ok for casts are 1 and 3 centrifugal [ opposites of a pair ] brakes set internally-- magnetic brake to 6 plus spool spindle end thrust set for a slow drop in " freespool " to match lure weight in use . I can honestly say no birds nests developed during over 100 casts up to 40 to 50 yards

Very nice, compact and well-designed reel
This reel It came nicely packed in a sturdy cardboard box that includes a diagram of its parts. At first sight it looks like all high-quality, nicely balanced materials are used. I mounted it in a med-size rod (5’6”, 10#, medium action) and it fits nicely. I would said that it’s perfect for rods on that 5’ to 7’ range, specially due to the lightweight of this reel.Construction of the reel is aesthetically pleasant. It looks like a more expensive, brand-named reel. As a matter of fact, its specifications are closely comparable to some on the Quantum Fishing Smoke line but, at a fraction of the price. It has a smooth star drag that facilitates it’s adjustment notch-by-notch fashion. I loaded mine with monofilament 8lb line and, although I did not measure it, I’m almost certain it took over 200 yds or it. After calibration, casting speed, smoothness and distance was superb.I highly recommend this reel which on top of its technical aspects and performance it also stands at a very reasonable affordable price.

Really need to take a look at this reel.
Right, I'm going to be honest. I wasn't expecting much, but how wrong I was! I do alot of lure fishing from ultra light to big jerk baits, this was going to be a stop gap reel until I got another Abu but tbh, this reel easily performs just as good. Build quality and ease of use is spot on. I have already orderd another 2 of these for future use, also a friend of mine used it and immediately asked me to get him one, for the price tag you can't fall off. I would say, spend the time in getting the brakes etc set up right and it is a joy to use, lots of handy tips on YouTube if your new to baitcaster reels. Again in all honesty I don't know how they make this at the price, landed fish 18lb on this, and it performed great.

Excellent for bigger lures.
Brilliant reel. My 2nd by this company, little known in UK. Filled it with 80lb Spiderwire for my bigger, heavier lures. Casts like a dream and handles really well. On had mid double figure fish so far but starting a water that holds pike to over 30. Hopefully test it to its max then.

A great little multiplier, more fun than a fixed spool!!!
I have been using this reel for over a year now, it's the second one I've bought, (I wanted a pair), I go carp fishing, My lake has carp up to 25lb and this little beastie knows, it handles big fighting carp with ease. I fish unconventionally in that I use this with an 11ft puddle chucker and float fish. Never has it let me down, nor has it made any strange noises, I'd give it more than 5 stars if'n I could.

Good for beginners but some intermittent issues
So i have been using this reel for a few weeks now. Ive used on the Thames, canals, and mostly small waters. I used it with some 10lb mono line.I find its generally a good real. However, at times, it makes funny noises when casting, and the line locks up every now again. Although this is my first ever bait caster, after 2 short sessions, i was able to master long casts, and small precise casts very quickly. This was partly skill (fished all my life) but also this reel. Its so easy to use, it makes lure fishing a real pleasure. The reason i have rated it lower stars is due to what i think is a quality control issue. My brother has a more expensive model and his reel has now failed totally (bail arm doesn't click into place when turning the reel handle, ball bearings are making a strange noise). I know there's something wrong my with reel, but it seems intermittent and i can live with it. I think next time, i will have the experience to buy something more expensive and reliable, but for anyone looking to start using one of these reels, this is a great purchase!

Five Stars
Nice reel but took a visit to youtube to work out how you use it.
