Bought as a gift, didn't come with any instructions or information as to what it was. Literally came packaged in a clear plastic bag and that was it, absolutely nothing else. Seemed a little cheat too, so I returned it.

So easy to use.. this is my 2nd one, dropped my 1st one in the river while fishing. Immediately ordered another.

This hook remover is a little too bulky even for small mouth bass. It is just too thick and makes it hard to see if you are grabbing the hook. Forget about using it on Sunfish and Bluegills.Over all, it is good for larger adult Catfish, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass, etc. But smaller, younger fish, which is what most of us catch anyway, (let's be honest!) it is to big. I am now looking for a thinner hook remover for the Bluegills.

Haven't used it on a fish yet. But it works fantastic for rooting out those pesky, dried nasal secretions. It's small diameter allows one to go high and deep in pursuit of that previously unreachable snot gob ! I did notice rather significant bleeding after the first use. Given the degree of crusted secretions I was not surprised. The ER doctor said not to worry thou, blood loss of half a pint or so is nothing major.

Looks like a great product. I bought for a Christmas gift so can't give a review right now.

Was excited to use this fish hook removal tool on my fishing trip. After catching a nice sized Red Snapper the hook was stuck deep in its mouth. Tried removing the hook with the removal tool and it bent at the tip. Ended up using my pliers to remove the hook. It was a one and done removal attempt. Sent tool back to Amazon for a refund.

I bought several and some feel cheap and gritty when you squeeze them and some feel smooth. Quality could be better but functionally it's fine and will serve it's purpose. Feel like the handle could be a little less bulky as well so it would fit in a pocket easier.

Bought it for husband for when we fish off boat. First use he dropped it in the bay after he removed hook (worked perfect)! Bought him another one. Same thing happened. Bought again along with float straps; told him he gets no more!
