As a long-time fan of Calvin and Hobbes, I can’t express how thrilled I was to finally get my hands on The Complete Calvin and Hobbes Collection! This beautifully crafted set is not just a collection of comic strips; it’s a nostalgic journey back to my childhood that I can now share with others.One of my favorite things about this collection is how perfectly it fits into my bookstand. It has a sleek, classic look that complements my other books while standing out as a special piece. Every time I glance at it, I’m reminded of all the laughter and wisdom packed into those pages.Calvin and Hobbes has always held a special place in my heart, and this collection reignites that love. Whether I’m revisiting my favorite strips or discovering new gems I missed before, it’s a delightful experience every time. Perhaps one of the BEST comic strips ever. Funny, heartfelt, drawn beautifully, relatable and timeless. From the tuna sandwich to the misty-eyed goodbye of exploration, it's all here. Looks incredible, feels great, and a visual heirloom I'm sure many others will enjoy. Readable over and over. A great bedtime story moment that will last a long time. It's waiting for you.

This, quite literally, is the complete Calvin and Hobbes. It has long been a desire to own ALL the Calvin and Hobbes books and this is a simple way to do it. I bought mine around Christmas last year and have enjoyed reading them when I have the time. Some of the humor is zany and wacky but there are also deep, thoughtful, serious moments too. Bits of (sometimes) sarcastic wisdom from the viewpoint of a 6 yr old boy and his faithful tiger companion. I've been a fan of Calvin and Hobbes since it ran in the papers and am proud to own the Complete Collection. HIGHLY recommended!!!

You already know Calvin & Hobbes is a great strip otherwise you wouldn't be checking this product out, so I imagine you want to know about the books themselves and whether they are well made, worth the price, etc. I bought the paperback edition and I am very satisfied with the production quality of each book. The book pages are bound with glue which I know is a turn-off for some, but the binding feels really strong. I tested all 4 books, opened them up completely flat on my table and didn't notice any wiggle or breaking.The strips themselves are very clear, no deterioration in the line quality in the copying process from what I can see. I'm willing to bet these comics have never looked better.The box the books come in is nice but it is just cardboard, so if you are expecting indestructability that's on you. The box is very heavy with all the books in it so if you handle it carelessly and drop it, yeah you'll probably ding it. I am happy to say my package arrived completely intact with no damage to either the box or the books themselves.If you are a C&H superfan this is well worth the price in my opinion.

This is one of the best comics that I have ever read. It is second only to Peanuts in my opinion. It is so imaginative, well drawn, and witty! It is really neat to have all 10 years worth of Calvin & Hobbes comics that Watterson produced all in one large slipcase.I purchased the paperback version because other reviewers said how heavy the hardback version was. The paperbacks are sort of heavy, too, especially all four of them within the slipcase.I read them sitting in a big recliner chair, without reclining usually, and I use a wide lap desk (that stretches from arm to arm of the chair) to set the books on to read. This takes the weight of the book off of my legs and makes it easier to protect the pages when I turn them.As I indicated, and as you can easily see on the product photos, the books come in a large slipcase, which is nice to have.I was highly pleased with how well the product was packaged when it came to me, which was much, much better than most products from Amazon come in their delivery boxes. I believe it comes to Amazon that way from the publisher.There was a little discoloration on some of the pages in the first book, but I am hoping that is not the case in the following three books. I have not taken them out to browse all the way through them. I am not going to take a star away from my review for the discoloration because it was only on a page or two, and didn't affect the enjoyment of the comics on that page.If you are looking for a great, retro comic to read again for enjoyment, or if you have never read Calvin & Hobbes, be sure to pick up this set. The books, the package the box are pretty good.The content has no need to talk about.It is marvelous.

I've been a fan of Calvin & Hobbes since I was small, this edition beautifully compiles all the comic strips. The quality is outstanding, and it arrived in perfect condition. I bought it while on sale, and have no regrets ❤️

The pages are thick and the color is vibrant. The sheer heft of this collection just goes to show how long this strip ran in the papers. Has foreword by the creator himself Bill Patterson. So far I've only gotten through the first book but I loved taking a stroll down memory lane. Calvin was extremely relatable to me and several kids I knew. At a decent price what are you waiting for?

This set is worth the hype in 2024! After 20 years of being a fan, I sprung for the box set. Some reviews made me consider the Paperback, but after receiving it I am very happy with the Hardcover.This set allows you to dive deep into these comics, inspect every tiny line and brushstroke, and appreciate this incredible series in more depth than ever before. Such an incredible collection is worthy of such a big, heavy set.My set had NO issues with binding, discoloration, weird smells, etc. It looks beautiful, it was bubble wrapped by Amazon during shipping (although the side of the slipcase is slightly bent inwards, implying that something heavy was stacked on top of it while it lay sideways). The bent slipcase is hardly noticeable, and I am satisfied with the condition of the item.This set is meant for home use, and I would recommend reading it at a clean table with plenty of room. You will undoubtedly have years of joy from this set. If it is on sale, BUY IT.
