Very bright. Perhaps too bright?
Despite Amazon telling me the 31mm would not fit my 2006 Nissan 350z, in fact, it did.I recently installed these in my 2001 Honda CRV and I found them to be very bright, which I loved. It gave it the whole fish tank look and the light reaches in all the darkest corners. I find that to be very useful for a car with a roomy cabin. Now in the Z, a two seater, I find it to be almost a little too bright since the map lights are almost right at your eyes. Very easy to slightly look up and blind yourself. Simple fix: don’t do that. I opted for the “warm white” option since my old LED’s were more of that cool blue tint and not nearly as bright. They’re not much of a warm white but more of a pure white.Install is super easy for the Z. They popped into place and fit snugly. As for my CRV, the clips that hold onto the metal caps of the LED bulbs were too tight and it ended up snapping off one of the metal caps on the LED bulb. Which brings me to the bulbs themselves. They seem cheaply produced and a bit flimsy. So I would handle them a little more carefully especially if you’re having a tough time popping them into place. As for the longevity of the bulbs, I can’t speak too much on that. My CRV has had them for 3 months now and no flickering and still just as bright. I would imagine since they are so bright, they probably run a little hotter than other LED bulbs. Not a huge worry since we don’t normally leave our cabin lights on intentionally for long periods of time. The occasional loading and unloading of groceries isn’t going to do much harm. You could essentially just run these lights alone to vacuum and detail your interior since they’re so bright but I would suspect that would lead to premature failure.Overall, I would say these are worth the money. Came with 4 bulbs, and the Z only takes 2. Now I can replace my broken one in my CRV and still have one extra.

"Let there be light! And there WAS light"...A LOT of it! (Angelic Chorus)
These were a perfect fit in my 2016 Subaru Impreza. Replaced the dome and map lights and now I can see!! OEM ones were pathetic, but these are outstanding (but not obnoxious). I love how the map light bulb sockets are positioned just right in my car so you can tilt the LED bulbs to shine on the seats and not simply straight down on the console. Dome light functions exactly the same with the new LED compared to the old incandescent - the light stays on after closing the door, then dims to off after 30 seconds. Easy-peasy to install, replaced all three bulbs in less than 3 minutes (took more time to admire my work, appreciate the transformative change in brightness, and of course modestly accept the accolades from my wife). Can't speak to durability or longevity, but they have definitely performed beautifully and lasted the 3-5 minutes they've been on since they were installed.Sometimes LEDs can be finicky with +/- polarity, but these didn't seem to be. If they happen to be very dim or flicker a bit when you install, try flipping them around and reinstalling.Happy camper here. Would not only recommend, but would definitely buy again.

Let There Be Light
I run two of these bulbs in my interior cabin lights on my 2007 FJ Cruiser. If you're a believer, I now understand Genesis1:3-25 lol. If not that's ok too just thought that passage fit the experience when I turned them on for the first time. These bulbs are BRIGHT. They light up the cabin so much better than the stock Halogen bulbs. I know what you're thinking, but the "Phillips Super Bright LED's are better than these". No they're not. Wasted good money on those when I could have purchased these. I like that it's a four pack as the "Two is One, One is None" adage works (aka having spares) I can't attest to longevity though I will update this later if and when they need to be replaced.Install: (Be patient and save yourself $90 in labor as they are relatively easy to install. Recommend using a trim removal tool <the skinny one>)#1 Ensure the existing bulbs are turned off and let them cool for a few minutes. The bulbs are hot and mine fell down my sleeve causing a burning sensation from wrist to chest. Nothing major requiring an ER visit but hey, don't listen to this advice and ride the lightning at your leisure.#2 Use needle nose pilers to hold the center of the bulb on the plastic housing (lightly but firmly) don't wanna snap the housing and set them in place (Note: there are two little pieces of plastic coverings inside the housing to the right and left of where the bulb goes in. Don't knock them off or you'll have an excellent expletive rant and you'll yell at your kid for not holding the flashlight correctly to illuminate the area hahahaha)#3 By God, TEST THEM BEFORE putting the cover plate back on. The lights (grid) should be pointing down. Seriously don't forget. I didn't forget but know of people who thought otherwise.#4 There are some good YouTube videos on this. Find the right one that you feel is right for you and make sure to like and comment. In conclusion, enjoy the experience as it will be well worth it on those dark times as these bulbs are truly amazing. What are you waiting for, buy it now!

Can-bus still present on dashboard.
Used these on my ml550 2008 Mercedes, they are bright and functions well however, it fails to bypass the can-bus and provides an error on the dashboard.

Fits, red, works.
2004 Ram 1500 quad cab.Definitely fits the overhead mid cab light. I think these would fit the forward map lights too but its been a while and I don't remember what size those were. Heat sinked, light output is good. If you have kids that turn everything on when they shouldn't, drive at night, or often have pokey passengers that always want to handle some thing or another and need an overhead light at night, go red. Red light doesn't affect your night vision. Green could do the same but who wants a glowing green cab. Gross.
