Hertzko 50 Large Super Absorbent Training Pads Pads for Dogs and Cats with Thick and Leak-Proof Liners !

I have a hard time with the training pads that call themselves large at 22 x 22. I don't think there are many that are smaller than that, and even for a small dog, these barely leave room for the sniff and spin routine that most dogs do prior to piddling. But labeling is not a fault, and "large" is the standard name for this size of pad. These are well made, relatively thick pads that attract the dog and absorb the puddle quickly. These are the perfect size for use with various diaper disposal pails for disposal. A great price for 50 quality pads of this size.

I used these for our cat who was very ill. She was immediately attracted to them. We covered the couch cushions with them. The only thing is after she did her business, she tried to cover it up as a cat would do if it was liter. All she did was bunch them up. But we grabbed them up immediately and disposed of them and replaced them with a fresh one. I would have preferred a little smaller size because our kitty was so little.

We have an elderly male cat who leaves occasional 'surprises'. We cut the pads in half and place a half pad with a weight on the area. The pads are very absorbent.

I just adopted a 3 yr old rescue pitbull and she does go outside but unfortunately she goes inside too from time to time. I bought another brand but she always went right next to it, but then I saw this and she peed on it the first time I put it down...success. Don't know what they treat it with to inspire dogs to go on it, but I am thrilled and will be buying it from now on.

These work extremely well for my yorkie. They hold up very well. I use them when I need to work late. Had no problem introducing them to her. No more accidents!!

I wasn't very impressed. Based on the other reviews I was thinking I finally found a Puppy Pad that is super absorbent and doesn't get wet on the bottom but every morning I have a wet puppy pad still. It's the same quality pad that you buy everywhere, nothing special about it.

The pads are working perfectly for my 15 year old cat who is in kidney failure and sometimes can't make it to the litter box. No mess, pad absorbs the liquid, no smell and no dripping. Perfect protection for the floor. HOWEVER, I ordered these regularly. The last batch I received were defective, the filling was as least 2 inches from the blue lining. I complained to Amazon and the vendor. I heard nothing from the vendor so I am now going to try another brand. Very disappointing. Stand by your product.

Hmmmm... when I looked at the photo, I thought these pads would be large enough for say a Labrador-sized puppy or therefore a similar sized dog. We have bichon frise and normally use dog-towels that we wash but needed pads for our caravan. I've used training pads before and always found them a bit small, so 'Large' size and the photo made me think these would cover a larger area. The answer to that is 'no'.They don't seem bigger than other pads I've used and - whilst the 'target' to attract the dogs to pee in that area does actually work, my bichon (small/med dog!) emptied his bladder, peeing on the target and the volume of urine meant half of it was on the floor also (*also see note below re target locations!). A bichon, I'm sure would not produce the amount of liquid a Labrador or GSD puppy would produce so my 1 star would be even lower if I'd bought these for larger breed puppies.Regarding quality, the target idea really worked but then the problem comes that - where you think the target would be in the centre of the pad - on many of ours it isn't and is even on the edge, so encouraging the puppy to pee on the edge of the pad (see photo). The backing is also fairly thin/flimsy and the padding thin compared to others we've used previously - even though half the pee was already on the floor, when I picked the pad up more liquid ran out onto the floor that was resting between the backing and the pad but hadn't been absorbed into the pad because it's not thick enough. In fact, with hindsight I would have probably had less cleaning up if I'd just left him to pee on the floor!I hope the attached photo will give you a better and more honest idea of size, and also check out where the target is on this pad! Won't be buying again.

I ordered these because they looked and sounded so great. But they were a waste of time and money. I had pads with missing insides--had the top and vinyl back, but patches of missing stuffing. One had no target at all (and I just started using them yesterday,) others had stuffing coming out the sides, so that leakage wouldn't be contained. These are smaller than they appear, and very poorly made. I would NOT order these again, nor would I recommend them to anyone (except perhaps someone with a tiny puppy who has a microscopic bladder.) I bought these because my elderly rescue dog is incontinent and has to take water pills. They don't do well unless she hits the target--and she hasn't yet.

Also good for protecting the carpet with a much loved, old, incontinent cat in the house.

Do the job...but no better than training pads you can get in any supermarket! Are same size and absorbency as ones I have purchased for a fraction of the price. Certainly not worth the inflated price being charged for these. Will not buy again..you live and learn!

Twice the price and half as effective as the Simple Solutions brand. The pup seems attracted to sniff at the central zone, but the poop comes out the other end, usually missing the pad!!
