I was honestly surprised by how well this old-fashioned rabbit ear antenna performs—much better than my previous, more expensive model. Using the Antenna Point app, I located the broadcast towers and aimed the antenna toward Manhattan (I'm in Queens, NY). I placed it on top of my dresser, ran a channel scan, and received 65 channels, including all the major networks: CBS, NBC, FOX, and ABC.For such a simple and affordable antenna, the results are impressive. Clear picture, strong reception, and no need to deal with overpriced alternatives. If you're in a similar area and want great performance without spending a lot, this antenna will definitely do the job. Highly recommended!

And the tv stations went off the air overnight after playing the national anthem? Those days are long gone. The cord is thin enough to close the window without affecting the weather seal, which is a brilliant feature for those looking for a minimal footprint installation.Normally it can sit on top of the tv and isn’t distracting like some of the new odd shaped ones you have likely seen on here.Performance:- Even with my unconventional setup, the antenna's performance has been stellar. My experience with the GE Amplified HD Digital TV Antenna is favorable. My location is approximately 35 miles from downtown Nashville, Tenn. and this antenna receives 62 channels consistently. Furthermost station received is a PBS affiliate from Cookeville or around 65 air miles at its fringe. The feature I like most is the antenna ability of being concealed behind furniture or tucked away over/under a windowsill without major degrading to signal. It is pleasingly small-sized for room aesthetics, easy enough to install, and one can probe to seek best reception signal without much fuss. The antenna works without any amplification, but number of stations received are fewer given my distance from transmitters. Performance may vary by location and natural obstructions, but the optimum antenna range is around 40 miles from broadcast tower. Rural areas need outdoor placement of a stronger rated antenna which is considerably more expensive. A good overall value that works well in apartments or dwellings where outdoor antennas are not permitted by home owner neighborhood associations.

All we needed in the city were “the big 4” locals, ABC, CBS, NBC, & PBS. Opened box, plugged in with included cable to Ant In. Followed TV directions for scanning Air channels. Total time: 5 mins. Channels clear in HD and TV is on an internal wall. Glad we went with the inexpensive choice.

Excellent durable amplified antenna. After I mounted the antenna on top of my hdtv and scanned for local channels. I was able to received add'l channels to watch, I wasn't able to do that with my old so claim hdtv antenna. There was not a place to mount my old antenna, so I just taped it on my wall behind my hdtv and the humidity kept getting the antenna falling off the wall. It was always unstable on certain channels and black out due to no reception or spotty tune up on certain channels. I highly recommended this GE amplified hdtv antenna.
