EnderToysRoman Ruined Pillars, Terrain Scenery for Tabletop 28mm Miniatures Wargame, 3D Printed and Paintable

These look really good but are 3-D printed so you can see the striations in the plastic and it’s difficult to paint over. I’ve had a hard time painting thes; coming up with a good scheme but finally settled on black with gray highlights and then a gray wash that worked well. The columns themselves look really cool and with some work these can be great pieces. I probably will stay away from 3-D printed stuff since even with primer etc. these items don’t take paint that well. However, since there’s hardly anything out there like this, I would say this is worth getting since it’s not that expensive and your choices are limited.

There’s nothing special and also nothing bad about these.

The shortest column is about 1 1/2” tall; the largest is almost 6” tall, and they’re all about an inch in diameter. More appropriate for 1/35 scale/57mm than 28mm

Good items in terms of size and partial description. Does not stipulate that they come in a pitch black color. So they do need painting before use in your gaming (which is different than the color shown above).

The photos look like you are buying columns that are grey. They are not. They are pitch black like irrigation pipe from a hardware store. The only hint - and it's just a hint - is that they seller says they are "paintable" - whatever that means. They are being purposefully obtuse, and they deserve criticism. Now, if you read reviews like the other ones here, the problem is noted. But seriously, sellers should not get away with trickery and say that I should have read the reviews. Sometimes you just want to buy what is pictured. And not everyone likes to paint things.

Pictures displayed them as a gray, unpainted. Recieved them completely black, not what I wanted to see 1 day before I needed them for a d&d session.

Bought these as I am making a diorama fir my Asterix collection. Great detail. Sprayed with stone effect paint and results are amazing. Absolutely fab!
