Lever is a pain to install/ PNW has terrible customer service
I cannot judge the seatpost as I have been unable to use it. It has been almost 3 weeks since delivery. It looks solid, looks good and the post is very easy to install. It comes with everything you need. But there's a problem..Its nice that they supply the lever with the post but the lever they supplied is extremely exacting & tedious to install. No instructions came with it. It involves having to insert very small hinge bolts, hold in place, ensure the thin hinge inside is also held up all the while trying to insert the cable through another tiny threading bolt...which you also have to hold in place until its all inserted. After 15 minutes of multiple drops, frustrations at not being able to see the hole to thread the cable and did trying to make my fingers do 2 things at once...I finally got the agility test done! That was stresful! OK. I proceeded to last step & tighten both sides of the bolt. I did...but did too tight and it snapped.So..I emailed PNW Customer Service and its been almost 3 weeks AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT EVEN MAILED THE REPLACEMENT.Overall, I rate PNW Customer Service as horrible for 2019 level. Its email. They do not reply the same day. They do not work weekends obviously. So conversations are pain-staking and days long.I highly recommend *not* buying from PNW. Their customer service is slow, uninspired and very frustrating. They do not yet know how to handle customers who are ready to be fans.,

Solid Quality From PNW
I installed the PNW Pine 27.2mm Dropper Post on my bike & have been riding w/it for the past 6 weeks. I chose the post w/90mm of travel as I’m only 5’9” & 90mm is plenty to get my seat out of my way.The post came w/all the hardware needed to install & hit the trails. The post includes plenty cable & cable housing for external routing which makes it easy to install, including the remote lever. Be sure to look over the instructions & you should not have any issues. I’ve used the dropper almost daily since being installed & it works great, no stuck drops or raises nor any unwanted drops. I find the rebound speed to be sufficient. The PNW Pine dropper post is not the cheapest, but I’m glad I spent my money on it. Like I stated earlier, it’s worked without issue, looks & feels like a quality part. The lever works well, but I may replace it in the future. A couple of the other dropper levers on the market look like they may be more durable.Overall I’m really happy w/the PNW Pine & it’s build quality. Because of this, I would recommend it or any other PNW dropper posts to anyone considering purchasing one.Thank you for taking the time to read my review, I hope you found it helpful.

Solid option for older MTB frames.
I recently got my first dropper on a new bike I purchased, and decided once I got used it that it was time to put one on my single speed. Of course, that's challenging because it's a 27.2 post, and there simply aren't many out there, and most of the ones you find are boutique brands that are stupid expensive. This post is none of those things, and while it is a little short on the travel side compared to some offerings, we're talking about a single speed here, so a little is enough. It seems like a solid quality post, no issues keeping the post working with the clamp tight enough to hold the post still, and the seat clamp wasn't a pain to deal with either. I picked up a wolftooth lever to activate this rather than using the PNW part, and I'm glad I did - it's a great lever, and the combination hasn't let me down yet - unless I ask it to.

Does the thing, drops the seat!
The dropper itself is well made, feels sturdy and works like a charm, easy to drop, quick and responsive on the way back up. the only issue with this thing is the damn lever, it feels good, don't get my wrong, it's well made like the rest of it, but the configuration is just a little weird, because of how the cable comes out of it, either the lever itself or the cable is basically pointing up into the air, I actually had to bend the cable housing a bit just to keep it from pointing almost straight up and off the bike, I suppose it's ok as it is right now, but I would honestly prefer a lever that mounted UNDER the bars, rather than OVER.Anyway, the post itself gets 5 stars, works great, but the poorly designed lever docks it a star, I'll be purchasing a better one at a later date to solve this.

Quality product
I put this on a 2017 Trek X Caliber 7. Very happy with purchase. Works well. I do not think the lever is that bad. Instructions were ok. I recommend searching/watching installation videos along with reading instructions. One thing I would like to note is this is the first time I have had to trim cable on the bike. I HIGHLY recommend getting a cutter that can cut stainless steel fiber etc, etc etc, cable housing. I nearly messed up the install trying to trim the cable housing with basic cutting tools. Bought the Park Tool cutter. Luckily I didn't have to buy more cable housing.

My first dropper post
I have been using this dropper post for about a month. I use it for a bike polo application which is very tough on components. It has held up very well, and I'm very pleased so far. Things I wish I could do that would get this to a perfect rating:1 - I wish I could set a mechanical limit on it's top position. When it is fully inserted and fully extended it is above my riding height so I can't just go from the full drop position back to my best-fit riding position easily.2 - PNW sells a superior lever, so I feel like they are just including the standard lever to get a second sale.

CX lever a bit fiddly to install, but works great
This 27.2mm dropper post is great value for money, I bought it for my gravel bike and the 90mm is perfect. The CX lever is a bit fiddly to install, but once you figure it out not really that hard, the (online) instructions are a bit obtuse, but honestly the hardest part is re-wrapping your bar tape around the lever. Installing the lever just under the break lever is great, you can easily access it with your thumb when you're in the hoods, and the dropper is easy to actuate and positive in response.Overall I'm very happy, the price was right, the installation not too bad, and the product is great.

Works really well
Brilliant dropper for an odd side frame in today's standards! Works really well and very easy to install. Only problem I seem to have is a slight bit of play. Not sure if this is correct and will be emailing the seller. Its not overly noticeable and doesn't effect the function though. Would get 5 stars if this wasn't the case

PNW 27.2 Dropper seat post
Absolutely brilliant. Not many options in 27.2 dropper seat posts but this is great. It’s totally transformed my 2007 Orange patriot. I would definitely recommend this if you need a 27.2 dropper post.
