Some believe these are the best.
I'm not a 'guitarist', nor ever claimed, but I know what good strings are supposed to sound like. And these are it. Granted, the true string player knows more about brilliance, attack, and strength of strings than anyone. But I believe these are the standards for classical guitars. I didn't realize I got the 'tie-on' type rather than 'ball end', but I made do and used my brain to get through the installation. I think I smelled smoke. I had to redo them because they slipped out of the twisty knot I had put them in. Once they were on and not coming loose, the stretching to come was. Each string, methodically, with your fingers in a certain way. I learned from another musician long ago by watching. It took a while for them to hold their note without going loose and changing its tune. But once they settled into where they're living, they sound fresh and new, with a brilliant tone and timbre. Now, I just have to play it more and take advantage of the newness. The price is mild and close to the range of everywhere else.

Smooth and reliable
I bought these strings as I’m helping restore a family members classical guitar. The strings are labeled making it easy to know which string you need to put on next. The sound once I put them on is very full, with a bit of a deeper sound as opposed to twangy (this may vary based on your guitar, the wood, etc.). The strings are also very easy to play on, they are smooth and can be tuned in various ways ways without breaking. Naturally the nylon E, B, & G stretch a bit more when you put them on, so have patience the first few hours as they will stretch and require more tuning than E, A, & D. All in all, they are strong strings but easy to play, neither too thick or too thin. I would purchase these again. :)

My favorite strings
I’m a classical guitarist with a BM in performance, graduated cum laude, a composer and teacher. These are my favorite basic strings. I use these 99% of the time unless I want something very specific for a recording or performance. I typically still use D’addario as they make a ton of great stings for all sorts of scenarios. Unfortunately they don’t last any longer than any other basic nylon set does for me. I have fairly sweaty hands which gunk up the basses pretty quick. After one performance or day of practice the basses are already deadened. They start to lose intonation within a few days. I’ve discovered that if I clean the strings after each session with a guitar cleaner that I can get them to last longer, but the gunk builds up in the groves of the wound stings regardless. This creates imperfections in the string that can’t just be cleaned away and within 2 weeks the intonation is unrecoverable. I have friends that don’t have this issue. And these strings can have solid intonation for up to 2 months. I’ve tried sealing them, I’ve tried strings that have their own seal built in, but it still happens. If I’m lucky I can get to 3 weeks.

Semplicemente meravigliose, montate su una yamaha C40, levigando il ponticello per diminuire l’action e montando queste corde, la chitarra suona benissimo!

I am not an expert in classical strings, and the result was as expected.
