Love this book!
I love this book! Beautiful pictures and you can either read every word and study in-depth or if you just want to identify clouds you can use the handy cloud identification flow chart. Also, the beginning of the chapters have a poem or quote about clouds. I thought this was wonderful. I highly recommend this book!

Very informative book with great pics.
Great book, describe the versions of clouds in detail. This is important to know here in the mid-west, when storms can blow up pretty quick. You need to know and have a reference book that you can look at and compare clouds and decide to run for cover. Meteorologist use this book. It was a recommendation from a local TV station the weather guy was saying try to learn clouds and this was a book he mentioned on TV.It works. Great book, I take it camping also.best regards

The perfect reference for cloud types, names and abbreviations!
What a great find! I am a registered NWS Spotter and this is the perfect reference for cloud designations. Great photos! Perfect detail! Anyone involved in weather will cherish this small but well-presented, intense reference book. I highly recommend it!

Great educational value. Photos could be better.
Well written book although not impressed with the cloud photos, but not a reason to lower my 5 star rating. This book is great at the educational side of learning about clouds and their many forms and variations.

A5(ish) sized quick reference
While not the size of a regular Haynes manual, this compact hardback gives a good introduction to clouds. It starts with a brief history of cloud classification, has a flowchart selector (which is not great) and a then gets into the types.Being a smaller book, it is concise - which is probably all that is needed for the everyday reader. It's slight downfall is that it would benefit from more pictures of the subspecies and varieties. Some of the subtleties of these are hard to understand without good visual indication. The section on precipiation is a little scant; I'd like to have seen a bit more on rainfall from Cumulus clouds (it does cover nimbostratus and cumulonimbus).Overall, a very enjoyable book.
