Delicious candy from my childhood
I have been enjoying these Boyer Mallo Cups since I was a little girl. And, that was a long time ago!I am always delighted when I see these Mallo Cups for sale as they are hard to find. And, finding them on Amazon was an even greater delight which meant I can order them whenever I want and receive them in only a few days!I introduced these Mallo Cups to my children and now my grandchildren and they each also like these candies. I share with them the story of when I was a little girl and lived out in the country and saved the paper coins that are in each candy package to 500 points and received a box of these delicious candies from Boyer. One of my granddaughters recently saved enough of these paper coins to send to Boyer. Unfortunately, now the prize is only a two dollar gift certificate. However, these Boyer Mallo cups are delicious and prize unto themselves. They have a chocolate and coconut cup surrounding a marshmallowy center. I like them when they are slightly warmed from room temperature so that the marshmallow center is soft.

Blast from my past.
I haven't had a Mallo Cup in 50 years and thought I'd pick up a box. Being from PA but now living in VA, one just doesn't see them in the stores here. They arrived quickly, and in good condition. The only thing that has been different, is they are half as thick as they used to be. The picture on the wrapper is as close as you will get to how these used to be. I'm not surprised. Boyer is not the only food company that has embraced 'shrinkflation', they all have. It does impact the creamy taste somewhat, with the chocolate to cream filling ratio in each bite. They aren't terrible, but I probably won't be a repeat customer. It's a pity that kids today will never know what they missed out on.One nice touch of nostalgia is the 'play' money inside the wrapper, on a piece of heavy paper, that one could use to earn merchandise. The problem is they never raised the 'money' values (5, 10, or 25 cents, two per double candy wrapper, random) with inflation, so one would probably need to eat about 5000+ packages to have enough to get something from the company.

Mallow cup rises again!!!
Oh man....what can I say. It's a Mallow Cup!My absolute FAVE as a child.!!I have to say, I'd rather have the 'design'?, as it was. They USED have a thinner coat of chocolate. I recall it being a 'game' to see who could unwrap there's without puncturing or otherwise damaging the chocolate surface. Keeping the ooowee goowee goodness inside.NOW, it's quite thick. QUITE. With the smallest bit of mallow inerds. lolLike a solid-ish chunk of chocolate with a tease of mallow on the inside. And most folks are probably A with that! LolI just personally loved the heavy mallow.Ya know? But the order was fresh and as delightful as ever.
