good service
I have never even picked up a cello before just decide to order the cheapest one and give it a whirl. few things to note. I thought they had not included the bridge but it was tucked away in a pocket, but there service was very good they said theyd replace it and called me promptly, then I found it. it appears the tuning pegs kept slipping however after some youtube lessons I realized these are friction pegs meaning that you have to push them in as you turn. bit tricky but when you get them right it holds tune. I also thought I had a duff bow that didn't make any sounds but, after a lot of rosin (grip wax included) it makes a lovely sound. also got here in 3 days.

Fabulous for the price
When we got it it was ready to use, just to tune it. Unfortunately the bow broke when we tightened it, so I contacted the seller. No problem at all, they just sent me a new one and that one works just fine. The first one must have had a crack or something. Very fast and good service to replace it just like that.

doesn't live up to first impressions
We bought this cello as a cheap and robust 2nd instrument for my granddaughter to play at school orchestra following an accident at school with her (more expensive) "home" cello. The instrument looks extremely impressive, and the case and accessories are amazing. However even I (not a musician) could tell that the tone was weaker than her home cello. I fitted some better strings, one of which promptly got broken. There have been a lot of complaints too about the tuning pegs, and that the strings are too high above the fingerboard - they certainly are in comparison with her "home" cello. I am going to have to try filing down the bridge to make it more comfortable, which is a bit daunting. The instrument is reasonable given the price, but if you need a cello for a child and have a limited budget I would recommend getting some expert advice about a second-hand cello.

A gift.
Along with the rosin this was bought as a gift for my other half to take him away from the fashion and designing completely, now as a product its arrives well packaged and in excellent condition, with an extra soft bag for when you cant take the hard case and its very very well made.

do not touch
Bought a half size cello from this company, upon receipt was heavily damaged, returned and received a replacement, which had screws unattached around the hardcase lock, now on 4th replacement and over a month trying to obtain a acceptable replacement, customer service and quality is a joke. Wouldn't even give this company one star, look elsewhere!

Great for the price - but do replace the strings
I'm an "actual" cellist and had reason to try one of these recently. Overall I'm astonished that you can get an actual functioning cello for this money - and with a hard case too! - even if everything is very basic. Sure, I didn't like the bridge shape much, but it's passable. But if you do only one thing: change the strings! The included ones are tinny and metallic, and not a great pleasure to play on. Luckily I had several sets of old strings lying around and so I swapped them out, resulting in a much less harsh and tinny tone - it actually sounds, well, OK.To sum up. Amazing for the money but do change the strings. I expect even a (reputable) budget set would be way better that what it comes with. Suitable for someone playing very casually and non-seriously, or perhaps a beginner doing their first few grades.
