Great oem looks with modern lighting
These are what I run in all of my xj's and on my Bullnose ford. They're bright enough for modern driving yet don't look cheap like pretty much every led on the market. On my daily driver the last pair lasted almost three years. One was still bright but the other was starting to get pretty dim. For the price I'm very satisfied with them.

1998 Jeep Cherokee w/ Wiring Harness
I bought these headlights back in the beginning of 2011 for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee. When I first purchased them and installed them it was without the aftermarket wiring harness so I will base the first part of the review off that. Without the harness these bulbs are great. Stock bulbs are okay but these are definitively a step up, they produce a solid amount of light that is great for city driving and also perform great on the highway. The low beams are great, the pattern they have provide more than enough light to see whats to the sides of the vehicle (sidewalks, street signs, etc.). But also you can adjust them to a decent amount to ahead of the Jeep and still get a solid white beam pattern. Also the color, the color that the bulbs give off is great. It's a very bright vivid white, it provides great visibly and doesn't give off that blue tone. Now back in January I performed an upgrade that is particularly popular in Jeep vehicles. I added an aftermarket wiring harness, the harness allows for direct wiring from the battery to each bulb. It's a very simple procedure and I say it does make the lights more effective. With the harness the bulbs are definitely more crisp. The color of white is great and I'd say it makes about a 30% improvement in night time visibility without blinding other drivers. It's a great upgrade when driving longer, for short trips maybe not so much. **Overall the bulbs perform great worth $20, definitely invest in a pair to keep the life cycle and pattern even. An H4 harness is a great add-on with these bulbs for drivers who find themselves driving longer distances on highways or just desire a crisper more defined light pattern.

Light and day
As most Cherokee owners know the headlights on a XJ Cherokee are poor at best, at night with oncoming traffic I am struggling to see where I should be driving, no fun! I even resorted to drive with the high beam on, and yeah have not been flashed by other drivers, but had to do something about it, and these lights are a good fix for little money. Light and day? Not really even with these lights it is less bright than other cars I have owned, but a great improvement. I fitted the drivers side first (RHD here in Aus) to see if I could pick any difference compared to the factory light, and could pick a huge improvement, sure it is brighter, and is white in color as to yellow, but where I noticed a huge improvement is that the light spreads out way more sideways from my car, and even goes out further than the stock light, and I can see way better when traffic comes my way. And after fitting both I recommend getting these, on high beam it lights up the road like day time, and sure I will spot those kangaroos way better. Fitting is easy, takes about 5 minutes a side. I am waiting for a Wiring Harness to come in the mail as per info found online it will even brighten these lights even more. Would I recommend these lights? Yeah sure, they are great value and way better than the factory fitted lights. Amazon got them down under 3 days before promised delivery time, so a win win all around. 5 out of 5 stars!

I am still STUNNED
First of all 2 different people told me they did not know how I could even see to drive as my headlights looked so dim when they see my car pulling up at 6:15am to work in the mornings. I did not need glasses at all and could see just fine to drive and see at a distance until---- After taking a statin drug for a little over 1 month for high cholesterol I suddenly one night, could not figure out why I could hardly see the guide on my 48" TV. Thought at first my eyes were strained from reading, but NO. After an extensive eye exam I was stunned to hear I suddenly have cataracts on both eyes now which is why I can not see at all. They were severe. I bought glasses until the operation BUT, also did research into new car headlights. I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee and had already tried the lens cleaner on the outside which made them look slightly clearer but did not help with the lights and not being able to see the road. When I pull out of my driveway at 6:00am in the pitch dark I always wonder who is going to be walking with dark clothes on this morning and will I see them in time. I have warned my 2 children that drive about people walking that can not be seen. Its scary to me. ANYWAY, the glasses helped BUT - I just had these lights installed yesterday 2/5/14. ( would have done it myself but could not get the semi rusted screws out). A man at work did it in under 10 min:) Yes, I paid him 20 bucks, everyone was happy. I was skeptical about any difference new lights would make. I pulled out of my driveway this morning and was STUNNED!!!!!. I have been sitting here at work for 1 1/2 hours now and can not stop thinking about it. The road was " lit up like a Christmas tree" as I put it:). I could see for what seemed like 2 blocks down the street, not only directly in front of me but to the right and left. The lights lit up neighbors lawns to my right for 15 feet and the lane to my left was the same. I thought, this is what everybody else has been seeing all along. Maybe the lights are blinding other drivers I thought since it seems so bright on both sides. Guess what, I don't mean to be uncaring but I DON'T CARE!! I can SEE THE FREAKING ROAD NOW! I kept waiting for oncoming drivers to flash their lights at me because they thought I had my brights on but it did not happen. The bottom line is- these lights are wonderful and I only wished I had bought them sooner. I am the type that does not spend money on "car stuff". When something breaks I ( borrow money:) and get it fixed and that is about it. If you feel like your lights are not quite right and seem dimmer than others and feel you are a little skeptical about venturing out at night, buy them! You too will be stunned and happy you did. I cant wait until it rains now. I had to have my daughter drive me to work for the last several months when it rained as I could not see lines on road, nothing. Great Amazon price - these were $10.00 higher at my local auto store. Sorry for the long review.

Bought the Silverstar but settled on Xtravision
My 2001 e-150 had the basic seal beam bulbs. They were dull and yellowed. Decided to read up on the newer H6054 bulbs that were available in 2024. It was a toss up on whether to go Silverstar or Xtravision. I bought the Silverstars online because they were suppose to be the brightest/whitest bulbs. In the meantime, I found a set of Xtravisions at O'reiley auto parts and waited till the Silverstars arrived. 2 days later, the Silverstars were delivered and I installed them just before dark. Something looked funny with the pattern of the light. They weren't lighting a smooth pattern. There was dark blotches mixed in with the beams of light. Almost like shining through a tree limb. I took the van to a dark road with no traffic and took a quick video. Then I went back home and installed the Xtravision bulbs. Though they were slightly more yellow, there was a smooth pattern and a nice hot spot on the road for my lane. The light also seemed to be wider so I could see the edges of the road better. I had a light bar in my grill for driving late night in the country. The Silverstars have a short life span. The Xtravision may not be as white, but they seem slightly better at spreading the light and are smoother across the entire pattern. They have a longer lifespan and are less expensive. With my light bar, I'm ready to drive on those dark country roads in the late hours.
