I purchased a pair of these Radio for my personal experiment and learning, and I am writing the review after 10 days of use and a lot of study, I am sharing few details on these radios and rules, do read and understand, these radios have helped me learning new facts and I think it is worth of sharing,Over all build is quite good, Battery lasts 3 days, me used this till date within my apartment area, it covers up to 1.5KM max in the city areas for Channels 1 to 7. Beyond 1.5 KM voice deteriorate. Channel 8 to 16 covers up to 2KM, SWR value is equal or less than 2 Watt of power.It has 16 channels, frequency for Channel 1 to Channel 13 comes under UHF Family Radio Service (FRS) band starting 462 MHz to 467 MHz and Channel 14 is on 450.225 MHz, Channel 15 is on 460.325 MHz, Channel 16 is on 469.950 MHz, Channel 16 does not come under FRS band. If possible don't use this channel.These channels use QT/CTCSS/DCS Encryption/Decryption except Channels 2, 3 & 15, which are open, means any one on those 3 frequencies can be listened and spoken over by other open radios on these 3 channels. If you know Qt/DQT/CTCSS/DCS codes all these channels can be hear over by HAM Radios Operators. Can't change the CTCSS/DCS codes, unless it is programmed for customized use, can be programmed up to 22 channels.I tried scanning all these 16 channels at different time of the day, for multiple days, these channels are quite in Kolkata, no activity, means there is no use of these channels in my area or in case used, signal might not be reaching to my wireless sets. I tried scanning these channels for hours, no activity detected. Another possible reason same channels might be used with different QT/CTCSS/DCS codes. Many assumptions. One wilder guess, since these frequencies comes under GMRS / FRS, might not been used by many Govt. Bodies.These are analog FRS radio, not digital set. This is not GMRS Radio but can be programmed to add GMRS Channels. Just for our information, as per WPC directive 2018 shows only 26 - 27 Mhz, 446.0-446.2MHz and 865-867MHz is license free bands in India. Which means the frequency band 462 to 467 Mhz is still not free for public use, while exploring the WPC/DOT Frequency allocation chart 2018, the frequency band 415 Mhz to 472 Mhz is allocated for Maritime Mobile (MURS/GMRS/FRS/PMRS) & Aero Nautical Communication.If someone says you can use these walkie Talkies bindas, no license required... YES up to 2 watts, in US FCC has made this frequency band license free up to 2 watts, but in India, you know you are using the band allocated to GRMS/FRS/Aero Nautical, some-day some places you might face some issues.I still feel DOT/WPC should deallocate the GMRS/FRS band 462 to 466 Mhz for greater community or public use up to 2 watts like CB Radios. I am going for President / Midland CB.

After doing lot of research & reading Q&As of this product, I ordered this item expecting that I can expect atleast 2km range. However, the range is very poor in urban landscape. I am not sure about open areas. This item does not solve the intension with which I purchased this.This is just a glorified toy considering the range of less than 500 mtrs.Moreover, the instruction manual and even the programming voice of the unit is in Chinese. If the seller "Tifygg" thinks that only Chinese must purchase this item, I think he should not sell it in India.I purchased this without realizing that the seller "Tifygg" is a Hongkong based seller.Even the shipping experience was pathetic. It hardly matters to the seller whether the shipment reaches on time or not.

Well-well, it's good to have one around with. I'm super happy but they have to send earphones too...Covered area is not best but worth it. Tying up this two and with UV-5R, making this thing even more reliable.

Product is good but my kids stopped playing with walkies but still working without malfunctioning

Good product ..working range is around 200 meters ( air to air )Sound is clear and goodBattery life is a bit low but overall a good product

Has a range of approx 1 Kms without any problem... Battery drains within 12 Hours of use.
