For a night car scene, I attached this to an amaran 300c and had it set to flood. At only 1%, there was too much light. The point is, this is a great way to amplify your output.

I bought this to use on some GVM lights with bowens mount. This went in, but would turn enough to click and lock. Turns out the 3 pins that go into the bowens mount were longer than anything else I have (even two different Aputure soft boxes) so I used a file to just slightly file each of the plastic pins enough to get it to twist into position. The focusing ability works, but it’s not a huge difference from 40 to 12°, otherwise it works great for a cheap solution to turn the light into a fresnel.

As a solo cinematographer I do my own run and gun gaffing and this baby is a quick nice way to create the sun in a dark environment or open up and diffuse it with a gel for moonlight.

This did not fit with my neewer light that has a bowen mount. All other modifiers work but not this one unfortunately. I'm sure it's great with an aputure light but it's pretty much useless to me and it's supposed to work with bowen mounts
