My (non-vegan) partner loves chicken biryani but has recently begun avoiding meat for ethical reasons. I bought this for him and he was so surprised at how delicious mock meat can be! I highly recommend this product to anyone who's struggling with transitioning or just misses the taste/texture of meat without the cruelty. The spices are so perfectly balanced, the mock meat is perfectly textured and flavoured. I also really like that I can cook this in about 20mins, so this is great to have on hand for days when I can't be bothered to cook. I'm purchasing my third batch now :)

But this product made the entire laborious task of making Biryani as easy as pie.All that’s required is to add 250 ml of water to the mix followed by pressure cooking for 6 mins and slow cooking for 6 more minutes and Presto! It also had textured protein which is soft, chewy and turns juicy during cooking by absorbing the essence and flavour of spices.This product is a real treat and I am definitely going to order more, and more.

And that’s what I call a biryani with a twist. I have turned vegetarian and aspiring to be vegan and a trained chef. So, when I heard of a vegan biryani option I had to try it. So ordered it and loved it but then being a chef made multiple variations like added some pickle when I wanted spicy or tempered with curry patta and black mustard when wanted a chennai styled biryani. It’s fantastic and I don’t miss meat so does the job. Now it’s a staple in my kitchen like Maggie. Hungry or entertaining.., it simply works.., thanks gooddot and yes have tried other products also and just simply love it

What a convenient and delicious product! Authentic biryani made easy. Just pressure cooked this with water, as suggested. Voila - biryani for 2 in 20 minutes, for Rs. 90!!On top of the taste and convenience, the product has mock-meat bits - vegan heaven!This will replace Maggi in my kitchen pantry.

I have not had biryani in a long time after going vegetarian and I thought my tongue would have forgotten the taste of a decent biryani. But, I must say the moment the mixture was cooking in my kitchen the aroma itself was enough to convince me that what was being made was a good chicken biryani. Now, comes the taste test. When the cooker contents were served, boy oh boy, the taste of the (mock) chicken pieces fooled me right away. I had to read the cover again to see if this was indeed a vegetarian product. It was so good. For someone who is motivated to find a replacement I am sure this product will satisfy them. This product is a need of the hour for the world, as more an more people are making the switch to a kinder lifestyle.

This is just awesome stuff..could never imagine that biryani so flavorful would come in instant ready to cook avatar..My suggestion is to add half a lemon juice and one tablespoon of desi ghee before experiencing the burst of flavors in your mouth.Thank You GOOD DOT for giving a delicious guilt free alternative of maggi.

It is a Vegetarian biryani...not vegetable biryani! The taste is good & plant meat is as good as mutton( suitable for people who want to avoid Non-veg)....however, this product is more apt to North Indians or people who eat less rice! Being a south Indian, I expected more quantity for the price I paid..
