Size:40' | Color:Brown Get clean and professional looking edging for lawns, gardens, tree rings, and flower beds in a single afternoon with scallop top EasyFlex LandShark Pound-In Landscape Edging. Easy to customize and install, this landscaping kit is made of recycled plastic, requires minimal preparation, and has all the materials you need to create clean and simple paths: a 40-foot landscape edging coil with a serrated bottom edge, and 2 heavy duty stakes to securely anchor and link pieces of edging. Whether you're an experienced landscaper or a DIY weekend warrior, EasyFlex Pound-In Landscape Edging makes it easy to keep your garden in shape. Flexible, yet sturdy plastic can be molded into aggressive curves or hold its shape in a straight line. With serrated teeth for biting through the soil, the Pound-In Edging creates a barrier to help keep weeds out of garden beds. Simply trim the edging to the desired length, dig a shallow trench, and gently hammer the edging in place. Areas with particularly rocky or compacted soil and clay may benefit from moistening the ground prior to trenching to loosen the dirt and allow for easier installation.

Not enough spikes
This was a good deal in terms of the price and for how much edging you get. However, they really short you on the spikes to hold the item in place. The instructions suggest using a spike every four feet. I can tell you that unless you are installing this in absolutely perfect conditions that you will need far more spikes than that. And even then that would be a stretch. I was able to get it to stay in place doing every two to three feet but it still is not as anchored as I would like. Also, I am left with a good amount of edging with no more spikes to install it with. I think particularly as a 'no-dig' edging you would need more spikes to get it grounded well. I will have to seek out more spikes because I want this to last. The edging looks nice and works well enough thus far but my fear is keeping it in place.Just to give some perspective as well: I am in FL and dealing with Saint Augustine grass. It grows pretty vigorously so this will definitely be tested as a good edging material.

Did I miss something????
This item cam in a 40 foot roll. The directions state to place a included steak "no more than 4 feet apart". The item came with only 6 steaks. Should have at least came with 12 steaks, and that is if your running a straight run. Nowhere near enough steaks if you have several curves in your landscape design, especially considering they have a steak hole every 4 inches on the roll.

NO WHERE NEAR ENOUGH SPIKES! BUY 50 MORE OR YOU'LL BE WAITING FOR ANOTHER DELIVERY.
Fair product. Thick plastic hardy edging. It's a total con job with the spikes tho. The directions say "topically 1 spike every 10 holes" that's a total joke. It makes me upset when companies pull fast ones like this on the customer. Instead of increasing the price a few bucks and adding enough spikes or saying we recomend buying additional spikes they sell you the product, then wait till you get it have it half installed then have to wait another several days to order more spikes. Waste of time. If you do buy this make sure you order an additional 30 or 50 spikes. Trust me you'll need them.

Perfect garden plant border
I used this border around individual plants in my garden. I wanted to keep the mulch around the plants and the decorative river rock in the garden from mixing together. It is very easy to cut the amount needed with a hacksaw. I bought it 2 years ago and it hasn't budged an inch, even with the heavy Texas rains, sun and slope I have it on. I liked it so much, I bought it again for the rest of my landscaping. Only drawback: it didn't come with enough stakes for my purposes, but I just used the galvanized garden stakes I had for my weed barrier. It wasn't a big enough deal for me to give 4 stars.

I love the idea, but I don’t think I would purchase again.
My husband and I recently had a 30’ x 18’ concrete pad poured. For better rain/water drainage away from the patio and house, we were advised to put in a flower bed with some rooted plants and mulch. We bought this to frame about 38’ worth considering the length of product and advertised ease of installation. The pros: flexible, easy to rubber hammer into ground especially over weed control fabric. The cons: somewhat stiff and sharp - especially when trying to unroll to install, not enough stakes for length, seems to bend/warp - even after spending more money an additional set of stakes.I love the idea, but I don’t think I would purchase again.

Easy, affordable and survives kids, dogs and weed whacker
I ended up buying about 800 feet of this stuff. I did also buy a zillion extra yard staples since true to reviews they don’t give you enough stakes for this stuff.I went nuts with it.Trimmed around tree beds, trimmed around the deer netting surrounding my raised garden beds. Trimmed along our sidewalk. It has been a game changer for our front sidewalk for keeping the mulch in the beds from rain and dogs digging in it. We also used it to separate a section of mulch from grass where the kids and dogs ran our yard into a mud path.I did my first gas powered weed whack of it today, totally not pictured, you’re getting the not pictured perfect views of my edging insanity... and it held up great especially for my first weed wack of the season that is usually a butcher job. Ha.Easy to put in, I cut it with branch lobbers. I’m so glad I found this stuff. A heck of a lot cheaper thAn the copious amounts of fancy blocks I would need to make nice beds. This is just fine!Oh and it has survived quiet well to humans and dogs trampling on and over it a bunch.

Insufficient pegs included
The edging is relatively easy to install but if there are a lot of curves then it may require two people . This was especially true as there are not enough ground pegs to keep the edging in place unless all of the edging is on one straight line. Should have had about 50% more pegs because you need at least one peg every other hole around curves. I bought two dozen additional pegs from a local hardware as I couldn't wait for a two day delivery. While the edging does bend around curves fairly easy, it is fairly rigid and when installing the edging has a tendency to pull away from the curve as you install, if you dont have enough pegs. Otherwise a good product.

Easy to work with!
Beautiful look and easy to cut and make even the complex curves with help of spikes. For complex curves you may need to buy extra spikes.
