I can’t believe how beautiful this chess set is! It was well packaged and nothing was damaged or chipped. This is a high quality (heavy) chess set that I am very proud to display. I am VERY HAPPY with this purchase!!!

This is such an amazing chess set with such fine detail in each piece....beautiful art and mastery! If I could give it 10 stars, I would as it is much more beautiful and appealing in person. You will not regret investing in this piece of art while enjoying the battle with friends and family for a long time to come. This was purchased as a Christmas present for my chess enthusiast. This is a heavy duty board, the base is a a beautiful recreation of the Roman Coliseum. The game pieces are each impressive, beautifully crafted. Although this set is a bit pricey, this is well worth every penny. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

This set is AH MAZING! Unbelievable how beautiful it is! Bought it as a gift for my daughter as she has great memories of playing chess with her Dad teaching her when she was little, she loved The Queen’s Gambit staycation binge tv with Mom and she went to Rome for her 21st birthday (a few years ago). This set showcases incredible craftsmanship, a great conversation piece for all the see it and invokes fond memories.

I bought this board for my son and the craftsmanship of this board is fantastic. All pieces including the board came intact. Packaging was perfect. I've always wanted a beautiful fantasy chessboard and this definitely satisfies. My son will hopefully enjoy this for many years to come.

If you like the Roman era, Pompeii, gladiators, amphitheater’s, swords and chariots you will love this chess set !!! Nicest one I have ever seen, even nicer than the one I bought in Rota, Spain when I was in the Navy Seabee’s. Thanks to all the great reviews, videos and photos from everyone I had to get the set, it beats anything I’ve seen for chess sets and I’ve been all over the world. My favorite pieces are the lions & tigers (rooks) If not for the great “ Chuck Norris” packaging my set would have been broke, the box was badly damaged , pieces laying all over, no broke pieces or thank god no broke glass board.....whew! Box is very heavy so shipping people tossed it around I’m sure. I’m displaying mine on the kitchen table for all to see, you have to it’s to nice. I like the detailed, heavy pieces, goes great with the amphitheater. If you want a beautiful chess set from the Roman era don’t hesitate to get this one !!!!

My bf is a roman history buff and I purchased this for his birthday. He loves it!! Everything is designed well and the colosseum is amazing. My favorite part is that it has mini weapons embedded at the center of the pit!
