Stunning Buttercream Flowers: 25 Projects to Create Edible Flora, Cacti and Succulents Paperback – December 17, 2019

When I saw that the premier buttercream artist and cake designer at Brooklyn Floral Delight had a book coming out I couldn't wait to learn from the master and try my hand at her cream flowers. (I'm mesmerized by their Instagram).The instruction and presentation of this book live up to the consistent quality Jiahn produces for fans and customers daily through social media. Thank goodness I was not disappointing! The layout and design of the book is second only to the beautiful flowers pictured inside. The best and unexpected part is it has doubled as a coffee table book - I've already had so many great convos started by it during the holidays.I have been disappointing by my favorite artists in the past, but this book exceeded my expectations - the level of challenge is perfect and the instruction is clear. I bought this as a gift for so many people this past Christmas and I will always make sure I have a few in the closet for when I need a gift on short notice. I can't wait for Part 2 and hope she will follow up with instructional videos for those not able to take her classes in person!!!

I preordered this book when I saw the announcement of her book release. She is such an incredible buttercream flower artist. I’ve added some images of what I tried last week; it is nowhere near her art, but I’m really happy to get to try this with great guidance - both visual as text. I tried the vanilla and matcha cake recipes and they are very airy and delicious - great balance with the buttercream. I guess I have to practice on my piping techniques because my hands couldn’t stay steady and I feel so tired from these two holiday projects but it was fun! Definitely recommend this book. It isn’t expensive for the treasure of information you get. Will be ordering this for my sister and mom as well!

Terrific book. Clear instructions for creating art in butter cream. Beautifully illustrated. Also includes an excellent recipe for butter cream frosting that is workable and delicious. I recommend this excellent book.

The book has beautiful images and useful, inspiring tutorials. However be careful, because it was not well edited. It seems that when at least one of the recipes were converted from metric measurements into cups, they calculated wrong. I tried the mud cake recipe and the batter felt far too thin. I went for it anyway and ended up with a sopping mass after baking. The pictures are also out of order in some of the step by step tutorials, so it takes some studying to figure out which ones are really the first, second, and third steps. I would probably return this book for the very reason that I wouldn’t feel secure that the recipes wouldn’t be a waste of my time, but the artistry really is beautiful and the coloring guide is helpful enough that if you are looking for visual inspiration with some step by step guides and you don’t mind taking some extra time to understand the directions, this is still a worthwhile book to pick up

I‘ve been following her instagram and so excited to learn crafting those beautiful buttercream flowers! The books have gorgeous cake pictures and how to create the mixture and recipes. I just need the time to try and practice to create my own flowers and cakes ❤️ I‘m giving this book for my friends for christmas gift! (With her special christmas tree cupcake :) )

came out good as a great textbook kinda book. Great to learn buttercream flower piping!The photos are absolutely beautiful!

I purchased a few books but this is my favorite one

I was excited te see this book coming out specially as I love succulent buttercream cakes. I’ve seen better flower tutorials in YouTube and the Echeveria is not the real thing, it’s just a piped ranunculus in green, which is not an Echeveria. Also, the photos are really small and it’s hard to see the details. Save yourself some money and look for YouTube videos instead. By the way, she says in the book she has a YouTube channel... not true.
