Fun backyard project
The media could not be loaded. We replaced the dirt pile under our deck with this waterfall. Digging was a pain as we have clay and rocks underground, and this kit comes with no instructions, but it’s so similar to Aquascape’s tutorial videos online that it was fairly easy to figure out. Fun project and decent cost if you do it yourself.

Great customer service
This is our 2nd kit ordered through half off ponds. There was an issue with our order. The order comes with a business card, use the card in your order to reach out to them via email or phone. They really worked to help us out. Although we were still out of pocket $ wise bc we had to make alternative arrangements for missing parts bc of our time constraints they did help by refining some of the money.

Arrived early, assembled easily, but minor parts problem
The package arrived a day earlier than expected, and initially it looked like all parts were present and accounted for. Assembly took some time and hard work (this is a waterfall, therefore large rocks involved) but was otherwise easy to do. Waterfall looks and works great. The only problem became apparent when I went to plug in the included puck light kit. The power transformer that came with the light is the wrong type. This isn't technically the fault of Half Off Ponds as the puck light is a kit assembled by a third party. Nevertheless, I contacted Half Off Ponds to get a replacement power supply. Still working on it but they seemed genuinely surprised as this has not been a problem before. I may adjust the number of stars up or down depending on the outcome of the replacement request, but I expect they'll honor it.Update: Half Off Ponds has shipped a replacement power supply immediately upon my submission of a photo showing the problem with the incorrect one. Hats off to very fast and courteous customer service. 5 stars!

Good Quality Components, Not Beginner Friendly
The media could not be loaded. Attempted my first pondless waterfall in the backyard (my quarantine project). After watching tons of videos and comparing products/prices, I ended up purchasing this one.As other reviewers have mentioned, there are no instructions provided in the packaging. There are installation videos on the site but it may not match your specific components. Given that it was my first build, I found watching videos from other vendors helped to better understand the components and installation. The parts all seem to be high quality. I’ve only had it in for a few weeks and so far no issues with the parts in the kit. My foam skills need some work though.This product seems like it’s more geared for installers or someone already familiar with how to setup.... not for the average homeowner.

Lack of Instructions Makes it VERY difficult to Install
I'm giving this two stars, not because of the product itself. All the components in this kit seem to be of very high quality. The rating is due to the fact that there are absolutely no instructions. If you read the information on Amazon it says that it includes "All Installation Hardware & Directions & Online Instructional Video." I wrote the seller (Halfoffponds.com) and asked them about the missing instructions. They replied that I should call them on Monday and they would tell me how to find the instructions on their website. That seemed strange, but I called and they directed me to their YouTube page that had several videos, but only one was an actual "how to" video. And it was for a different kit that had several different pieces of hardware than the kit that I purchased. For example, connecting the hose that supplies the waterfall weir is completely different in the video versus weir that was included with the kit I purchased. You would think that they could include a set of instructions for a product that costs the customer $750, but I am left to figure this out by myself.

Good kit - with some work!
Package does contain everything you need to create a good size waterfall. The pump does great for my 1.5' x 17' stream. No instructions included (that I could see) for hooking up the weir / canyon with included parts so you do need to work it out on your own a little. I was missing the underlayment and contacted the seller. They immediately shipped out the underlayment the next day no questions asked. They were great. I would have liked a larger canyon. The fit was very tight for the pump and difficult to hook up hoses.

incomplete package
my order arrived in a timely manner but when i opened up the package, everything was as ordered except there were no matrix boxes as advertised.. the kit is useless without the matrix boxes. So my weekend project was ruined.. I had already had several friends coming over to assist with the project. I read other reviews about this outfit but thought it was just a few glitches but I now think they are not very reputable..I do not recommend them.
