This is a great product. I used it to temporarily cover the gray strands along my side burns and hairline. If you forcefully rub your fingers into those applied areas, of course it will rub off and smear so don't do that! It's a Temporary fix and Not permanent! Be reasonable. If you have dark brown hair, order the black color as it will work best to cover the grays. That's what I did. Similar products in powder solid form (looks like packed eye shadow powder) do Not work as well as this type of product so skip those. Buy this product instead.

It isn’t waterproof, but it works great. It also isn’t great for grooming your hair. It does cover up roots and doesn’t bleed onto your face it just kind of fades after awhile.

Okay, so I'm entirely new to this type of product and haven't tried others, but I'm absolutely shocked at how great this has been working to darken some graying areas around my temples! Granted, there's not a lot of grays to cover in my case, but this does exactly what I wanted it to do---darken a small patch/area on my sides so that it blends with the rest of my hair that hasn't gotten very gray yet. I like how it goes on dry since I can do multiple light passes (I use my fingers to hold up longer hair and apply in layers) until I'm satisfied with the overall color. This lets me control how much to put on, and I don't have to deal with liquids, brushes, etc. It stays on throughout the day as long as I don't rub the area too much or too hard. Even if you do touch it, it still stays on, although I have noticed some color transfer on my fingers at times. I haven't noticed any staining on my pillow case, which was an initial concern when I first got it. The before-and-after picture that I took one morning says it all. It looks natural, goes on pretty quickly, and is easy to toss in a bag when traveling. I'd definitely recommend this to other men out there who might be afraid of trying dyes/touch-up products out of fear that the color may look too artificial, or wipe off too easily, or become runny when sweaty (the Guiliani effect! ha).

It is not as messy as other types that get on clothes and stain, and it is easy to remove from skin. However, it is pasty and oily feeling. The burgundy might work on light hair, but on my dark brown hair it turns out dark brown looking - definitely not auburn or reddish.

This product is perfect for covering up greys, I can't always do a full color so this is great for in between. Goes on easy & looks great. I got the wine color, matches perfect. Also I have thin/fine hair, so it adds thickness for more volume & body to my hair! Glad I bought 4 of these, & will never be without it! Highly recommend!

Easy covers well and fast

Wow! Not one but Two fell right out of the tube and onto the ground. GARBAGE. Didn’t know until I went to use it—and really needed it to work! 👎🏼

Texture is waxy but brushed in and happy with the results. Cheaper than L’Oreal spray that I had been using and coverage just as good. Handy stick that looks like lipstick is easy to travel with so very happy.
