Great product
If you can colour match it does what it says. Will discreetly hide small scratches and also slightly larger nicks and gashes in leather furniture. It will dry out as it says so use what you need and then it’s for the bin. But definitely recommended

Fairly easy to apply and reasonably successful
Despite telling her off each time, our cat hasn't twigged that we don't want our leather sofa clawed to bits.We were on the verge of getting rid of it (the sofa, not Puss), until I had a look at products which claim to be able to repair cat scratch and other similar damage and thought this would be worth a try.As you can see from my "before" photo, there were lots of claw-holes, where the underlying substrate had been pulled through.Initially, I trimmed these as best I could, using nail scissors.I then used a Q-tip to dab small amounts of the filler into each hole.left it for an hour or so and then, after a gentle sanding to smooth out any lumpy bits, I polished it all up with the Scratch Doctor Dye Restorer. The results? Well not perfect, but a lot better than it was and I reckon we'll keep this extremely comfortable leather sofa for a bit longer now.

Messy wasteful difficult to use but washes off easily
Has any consideration been given to providing packaging that is less messy to use?The filler is of runny consistency and you find this out on removing the cardboard disc after unscrewing the top of the metal container.A considerable amount of the content is stuck to the underside of the cardboard disc and it would be a very messy job to put the cardboard disc back over the in contents.. Sadly the content that is on the underside of the disc needs to be used immediately. For small jobs this is very very wasteful. The content of the brown tin toned well with my dark brown leather dining room suiteThe tin of black leather filler was for a car seat and again toned in well. With this second tin I tried without success to only lift part of the cardboard disc but the entire disc lifted again. This product, for which we only needed to use small amounts, would be much improved if the cover could be removed just to reveal a small section. A tab on the cover to keep the fingers clean would be helpful. It was great that the brown and black filler on my fingers washed off easily but leads to concerns about the durability of the product.

Leather dye
It comes in a very tiny tin but there was enough for the job I wanted. The tin said colour NAVY BLUE but it wasn't dark enough, it's lighter than NAVY so I will have to buy a darker one.

Not suitable for high traffic
Unfortunately I have to rate this at two stars. The positives are that the filler is easy to apply with a workable viscosity which aids in getting a smooth finish. Also the colour is consistent. However for me the most important quality is missing which is the robustness of the filler itself when dried which is severely lacking.I have experience performing leather repairs and thought I'd try this filler but I cannot recommend it due to its low adhesion and all round poor strength. I had build up several layers over days to ensure sufficient drying and to get a perfect finish. The finish WAS good to the eye but not practical in terms of useability. I found the filler quickly started to come away and within a day all that was left was the original leather.Unfortunately I have tried a few different attempts with ensuring the leather was cleaned, dry and sanded back to have a nice surface to grab too but no joy.If you require a filler which will not be touched, strained, etc then this could be suitable, however if you require the repair to be under any type of duress then avoid this filler.
