I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it does not keep coffee hot for the time stated, however it does keep it warm.We think it's cute because it looks like a penguin. My daughter makes coffee and calls it penguin juice. It meets our need ok, so I would buy it again, however if you are looking for a carafe to keep your coffee hot, let me know when you find one cause I have not yet.

The surface become very hot after just 6 months...Update: replaced product received in a week. Customer service is nice.

I should have looked for a smaller size. Even though I am not filling it full, it seems to keep the liquids hot enough for a short time. If you were to fill the carafe with hot water first and then fill it to the brim with a hot beverage, I think it would keep the beverage quite hot -- at least for a while. I am going to look for a regular smaller thermos type container for my purposes. The full handle on this carafe does make it easy to handle.

Nice sleek design and keeps coffee hot. Another post complained opening was too small and made it hard to clean. I have no issue with cleaning this carafe. We drink a lot of coffee and we will probably purchase a 2nd carafe. Great price and arrived quickly! Thanks

WOW! I tested it to see just how long it stayed hot. After 36 hours my boiling water was still super hot!! I gave it 4 stars because the lid and handle are plastic and I expect over time the painted silver finish will wear off. Other than that I love it.

I bought this to use it at work after my friend told me about this carafe. I drink tea everyday for the whole day. This carafe keeps it warm for me. Especially is very useful for winter i can pour a cup of hot tea to stay warm. The size is perfect to last me until i get home.

I used the carafe at a brunch I hosted for 30 people. It simply worked. Poured in hot coffee and left it for people to pour. No problem with the coffee getting cold nor with spillage while pouring. Cleaned up easily.
