Best stud remover
I've spent my entire life fighting with replacing parts on vehicles because the old equipment tends to break off. Well it happened again, I tried to replace an exhaust pipe and sure enough one of the bolts snapped and that was after using wd40 and heat which usually works. I saw this and decided to give it a try. Granted, it still took a bit using an impact wrench, but it did eventually come out. Highly recommend.

Questionable quality but works for now. Do t expect it to last
Awkward to use like most of these types of devices, this one is worse than most since the retaining ball on the drive extension component has such a weak spring. The part falls apart way too often and way too easily. The component that grips the stud is not hardened well enough with several ridges flattening with each use. When it doesn’t slip it works well enough. I am guessing it will work a few more times before becoming useless

Not a good design. Skip.
I tried to used this stud remover tool to remove 3/8 head studs. This tools design and tolerances allow it under force to wedge itself crooked instead of squarely against the stud. If you do manage to get the stud out, you then need to struggle to get the stud unwedged from the tool itself which is more difficult then the initially task at hand. My tool is cut on an angle, see 2nd picture. I assume this is by design and not a defect.

gets the job done
not a professional tool, but good value for the home mechanic. Wears a bit if used on hardened bolts. Make sure there's enough room to spin the tool around the bolt, at least about 200 to 270 degrees of rotation are needed to use it effectively

Worked for me.
I used tool to remove and reinstall 16 9/16 studs from a Mack dump truck axles. Used 3/4 drive three foot long breaker bar reduced down to 3/8 drive. Pulled them all. Use tool properly and no problems.
