Another benefit of transplant pots for gardening is their contribution to plant growth. Research has shown that using biodegradable seed starter pots generally benefits plant growth. These little parts are great for starting seeds in, and then transferring into bigger pots without having to disturb the roots too much. Only problems with them that they're very difficult to pull apart from being stacked together and often tear. Also, when wet they start to disintegrate so watering seeds can be a bit of an issue too.

Did not work for us.
These have not worked for us. They started breaking down just watering the seeds. Might work better with seeds that sprout quicker - like sunflower seeds. Great idea .... if it had worked.Unfortunately the flower seedlings we transplanted into them did not survive - but that could be our lack of green fingers!

Used in the classroom
I used these with a class of Year One children when we were planting sunflower seeds.Overall good quality - the only thing that can be tricky sometimes is when you have a stack of them and you are trying to pull them apart.

Perfect for rooting cuttings
Really good rooting pots! Read a review before buying that said they are a little hard to unstick when getting them out so you end up with two stuck together but I find that works better :)

Great cultivation pots
These were fantastic little pots, just the right size for easy handling and planting. They did make planting out my seedlings super quick and leaving the seedlings undisturbed by not handling them meant they have had an easy transition into their permanent position. The pots are sturdy and did not disintegrate with the frequent watering they needed in the recent hot weather prior to planting in the garden. Separating them for initial use is a little tricky but be patient as there is a knack!
