This is the 24th volume in the Claymore series. It continues where volume 23 left off and has a very linear storyline again. This series is supposed to wrap up with volume 27 later in 2015.The rebel Claymores, several former top warriors, and Raki form a defensive plan to defeat Priscilla. Meanwhile a huge Yoma based creature is coalescing outside of the Holy City of Rabona. This is a creature that may surpass Priscilla in power. An epic battle between Priscilla and the new Yoma based creature ensues.There is a ton of battling in this book, really at least half of it is just one action shot after another. The source of the rebels half-awakening ability is also finally revealed, so that was very interesting.The illustration remains top notch and the story action packed. You can tell things are reaching a climax here as our characters launch into one epic battle after another.Overall this was a great installment in this series. It was action packed and reveals some more secrets around why the rebel Claymore can half-awaken. I am excited to see what the last few volumes of this series hold and how everything is wrapped up.

Let me preface this by saying that ever since Claymore 1, I have been a huge fan. I loved the anime, and I love the mangas. However, with this last book (24), I found myself bored with the story. Nothing you haven't seen before, just Claymores fighting more Yoma...oh, but wait, now we have abysals that are stronger than abysals, that are stronger than that... uhg. I feel like the author is just upping the power level of these Yoma for no good reason, and it's always with the same result (narrow victory). The story REALLY needs to get pushed forward. What happened to the compelling storyline of the first half of the series? We need more of that, and less endless battles with creatures just getting more and more ridiculously overpowered. If the author is reading this, PLEASE move the STORY along!! I love Claymore, but it is in desperate need of some inspiration. I like that some of Priscilla backstory started to come out, but sadly that was not enough to save this volume for me.

I have followed this manga from the start and also have the watched the anime. The manga is the best of the two and I have been buying this with every new release. There are only two manga series that I buy and this is the highest praise I can give a manga. Additional notes: The Claymore anime has it's own spin off. If you have seen it and have not read the manga, you should consider the Anime a side story of the characters.

I love this series! The last few books have been a little out of sorts but this one see's Claire return to action as well as Raki and some other great characters. A must read if your a Claymore fan.

Once again we move forward toward the final battle of the series. Still loving it after all these years

Loved it! Everything I expected and more! I've been a fan of this manga for about 7 years now and it's definitely my favourite! I read all the scans online monthly so I knew what was gonna happen but it's so nice to have in book form and to see the "correct" translations. Lol
