Takes time to settle in, really TIGHT, have to hold door shut
Easy to install, the dishwasher no longer leaks BUT and this is IMPORTANT the door is really difficult to close and I have to push against the door throughout the entire run time of the dishwasher for the machine to work because the gasket has so much pressure against the door that the lock mechanism does not engage properly to turn it on. So if you are okay standing and holding the door for an hour and fifteen minutes while the machine runs through the wash and rinse cycles and skipping the machine dry feature this is fine. I am hoping that it will eventually settle in and flatten out a bit so it will work without having to do that.

Door wouldn't shut after install
It fit. It was the right part number, but the door to my dishwasher wouldn't close. Decided eff it and bought a new dishwasher since the old one was 20+ years old. RIP Ol' guy.

Worked for old maytag
Easily installed but the door wouldn’t shut with all the force I had but modified a bit then everything was good

To thick for my dishwasher - Maytag DWC8240AAW
The part number from Parts Direct is the same one that is in this product listing, but it does not allow the door to close unless it is REALLY forced, and then it's tricky to open again.
