Margaritaville Men's Anchor Lace Boat Shoe, Light Tanned, 12 M US

I knew what I was getting before I ordered online because I tried the shoes on at a local shoe outlet. Some things like shoes I'd never buy online without seeing or trying on elsewhere. No surprise on the fit or color or anything else. Basically I ordered through Amazon because they were $9 cheaper than the sale price at the shoe store and qualified for free shipping. No brainer. They look good, fit well and are comfortable for me anyway.Edited two weeks later: I still like these shoes from the standpoint of fit and comfort. However I have an issue with the color that was not apparent till I wore them in bright sunlight. They are the dark brown color which is fine in shade, artificial light, and at night. However, it bright sunlight, they have a definite dark olive green tint to them which I don't really care for. I hope that it eventually fades. Cut score to four stars.

Review of brown shoe: Nice "boat" shoes. Comfortable without socks. Great for summer. I have wide feet but these brown shoes fit just fine in same size as my dress shoes (which are a size or two smaller than my usual running shoe size).Review of tan shoe: I liked the brown so well I bought another pair in tan. The tan shoe (same size, of course) was significantly narrower than the brown and a bit shorter. I'd rate the tan shoe 2 stars due to fit but the brown shoe is 4 stars; average rating - 3 stars.Update: was able to stretch shoes a bit by using shoe trees and Lexol leather conditioner to soften leather allowing some stretch. Wore them at home as slippers to further stretch them but failed to make them comfortable. Probably going to Goodwill.Update: gave up with the tan shoes; leather should stretch to fit but these don't - I kinda doubt they're made of leather. Bought a pair of handsewn mocs in Wide width from LLBean, a company that knows how to make an American wide fit shoe. They sent me a coupon so the mocs cost me about as much these. The mocs were comfortable right out of the box.

I just really like deck shoes. They keep me from running around the house barefoot, which I love doing anyways. These seem to be pretty well made. I did not know they were made in China. The last pair of deck shoes started falling apart about a year after I purchased them at DSW. They were Sperry's, made in the USA. A well known brand. But the quality has really dropped down. These feel & look like the will last longer and at less than half the price.

The shoe is acceptable but I was expecting it to be somewhat higher quality for the price. Had I seen them prior to ordering, I would not have ordered. The main issue I have with them is the quality of the leather. Compared to the shoes they are replacing which I purchased 5yr ago for less money, the anchor lace oxford is much lighter. The thickness of the leather is much thinner. I would be surprised if I will get 2yrs of use out of them. I have seen these advertised for close to $100 on other websites. These are 45 or 50 dollar shoes at the most. Certainly not worth the price I paid.

Nice shoe...but definitely order a 1/2 size smaller than your normal size. I wear a size 10 in 5 different pairs of shoes I have...but after reading reviews I followed most of other reviewers advice and got a 9.5...they fit perfectly! I did find one small concern though...this company stiches their label on the inside sole part of the shoe with a type of silky fabric..and the stiching seems to aggravate the side of my foot..cause u wear boat shoes with no socks (at least I do)..so hopefully after wearing them a few times this problem will go away. Other than that....seems like a well made shoe... decent price point...so far so good!

Great shoes! I really enjoy these and they are very comfortable. They have a special etonic innersole which really makes them comfortable. I purchased these rather than Sperry Dock Siders as they are about one-half the price. Purists will go for the Sperrys but I am more than happy with the Margaritavilles. I like Jimmy Buffet too so that doesn't hurt any. Also I will not have to struggle with replacing the leather laces as the Sperrys require. These general wear shoes use conventional laces i.e. like regular shoes. They are suitable for everyday wear here in Southern California and I am really glad I made the purchase. Thank you Amazon for another great deal!!!!

This is my second pair of Margaritaville boat shoes. The first pair was purchased probably 7 or 8 years ago and I am still wearing them. I bought this pair to have a different color. The fit, comfort, and quality are all absolutely fantastic - and the decoration on the shoes gives me a reminder of ocean and palm trees in the middle of boring meetings. The only negative I can come up with: I really wish these were cheaper - but considering how long they last, I really don't have that much to complain about.

Have owned several pairs of these over the years and have been happy with them. These however were the first to ever give me bad blisters on both heals. The stitching on the inside heal area is raised and creates a hard edge. The leather around the Achilles area is very hard and stiff. In the past this area was slightly padded and soft.

This is the second pair of this type of shoes. In summer are the best!

The product ordered was exactly as it looked and the sizing was perfect. No issues at al with it once it arrived.
