Q: Can these be shipped in a box instead of a bag? Using a bag for shipping allows the nuts to be much more broken up than the bags you buy in a store.

Mine came in a bag shipped in a large box mixed with other product. Ordered twice and both times were crushed so will not order again.

Q: Are these certified gluten free?

It says on the front of the package “Naturally Gluten Free”. Nothing about certification.

Q: Where are these almonds grown, and are they steamed?

The Fisher Chef Naturals Almonds are grown in California and are not raw or roasted but pasteurized. The nuts undergo a steam treatment process per the guidelines of the FDA. Steam processing is a quick and effective method to help prevent the spread of any bacteria. These almonds can be eaten right out of the bag for snacking and can be used for baking.
