I took a picture outside of the water of my cat and was pleasantly surprised to find the picture quality is the same in or out of the water. The pictures of the roses I took are in our livestock water tank, as I wanted to test the camera out before our snorkeling trip. The quality in the pictures is great. The colors are vibrant and not distorted at all! I took a picture looking down into the Water and then used the selfie screen to take a picture with the camera in the water looking up towards the flower. After removing the camera from the water I double checked to make sure everything was dry in the battery/SD card compartment and I'm happy to report there wasn't a single drop of moisture to be found! I also took a video and was blown away by the stability of the motion and clarity of the picture in video mode as well. Great value for the price, I love the color of the camera and ease of operation! It charges super fast. This came neatly packaged and would make a fantastic gift as well!

While this does indeed take pictures underwater...and is indeed waterproof...the pictures are absolutely awful.This qualifies as the only purchase I have ever made on Amazon that I deeply regret.

I was very satisfied with the use of this underwater camera. Until I was only able to use it once. The camera will NOT charge. The charging mechanism is not working. The camera will be plugged in charging for 24 hours. The light never went out. And I would turn it on and it stated low battery goodbye and would shut right off. So for $80.00 it is basically a one time use camera. My friend purchased the same camera as well and her camera will NOT charge either. Very disappointing. And amazon stated return date has expired.

PRO: Great price for a good camera. Works well underwater. Perfect for snorkeling and being my the water. The battery lasted the entire length of my 5 day cruise. The anti-shake works well to keep the photos from being blurry. I would recommend this value for anyone looking for a budget camera with underwater uses.CON: The zoom is not great, but at the price point I did not expect an amazing zoom. After about an hour in and out of the water, I noticed bubbles of air coming out of the camera under water and water would drip out when out of the water. It made me concerned that the seals were not tight. BUT, I continued to use the camera and there was no problem. Instructions stated that there is a certain amount of time that the camera can be underwater before it must be dried out.

The camera itself honestly is not bad. I was looking to get a cheap underwater one for a trip abroad that was inexpensive. This would have done the trick if it wasn’t BROKEN when it arrived, now I’m sending it back and hoping the next one I get arrives in time and fully functional for my trip. I opened the package and the zoom switch/dial was already broken off, and the camera is likely no longer water proof.

I was looking for an easy to use moderate priced water camera. This camera certainly fit the bill.Low to moderately priced. Came when expected and packaged well. Set up was easy. Please know that you absolutely need an SD card for the camera. If you don’t have a card you can only take 1 picture.The camera was purchased prior to a vacation in Mexico. The camera withstood the beach and pool very well.I used the 8M resolution for the pictures and the quality was satisfactory for my purposes. I didn’t find that underwater pictures came out all that great but again I only used the 8M resolution.My 4 year old daughter found the camera easy to use. Since it does not have a view finder, I would say the most disappointing part of the camera was that the battery did not last long at all. I would say that is the biggest overall drawback.

First, this camera shipped later then when I first purchased it and it didn't arrive in time for my trip. Amazon said they couldn't do anything about it. By the time I got back and had a chance to play with the camera, I'm actually glad it didn't make it in time. First, the battery compartment is incredibly hard to open. I understand it's due to the seal to keep it watertight but you need a screwdriver to pry it open. Don't slip, because it takes a LOT of pressure to do so and slipping with that pressure could drive the screwdriver into your hand, which needs to be nearby at the same time to push a tiny switch over, or into the camera itself scrataching it all up.Once you manage to get the thing open to put the battery in, the pictures themselves were horrible quality. They all came out slightly blurry if I used the flash, and if I didn't everything was very dark.Now it's past the return period and I'm stuck with a worthless camera I don't even want to give to my kids. Save yourself the headache and just buy a nicer camera to begin with instead of trying to save some money. It's not worth it.

Compact, lightweight camera for all your underwater activities. I was looking one for our upcoming Hawaii vacation where I can use an underwater camera for snorkeling - and this does a pretty decent job. Tested in the swimming pool for now - good quality pictures and very easy to handle. Comes with a nice carry pouch and a descriptive manual. Due to its lightweight nature and plastic material - it can be easily handled by kids. They can use it as a regular camera too. The picture quality came out nice. A must have for all the beach vacations to capture those wonderful moments. A great camera for a decent price.
