This brace provides great support for my bad ankle. My ankle has been bad for about three or four years now after an injury. I was unable to even do low impact without pain. I use this to do my low impact exercise and have no pain during or after the exercise. I haven't tried high impact yet because I am scared. When you wear these, make sure you have it laced tight from the foot all the way up. If you leave it too lose in the foot, it will cause pain in the arch region of the foot. All of the parts of the brace feel like they are high quality, unlike another brace I bought for about the same price. The sizing is very accurate. I wear women's size 7 and bought according to the size chart.

I have bought many ankle supports over the years. This is the most comfortable one I have ever had. I have been wearing it for the last 3 days for 9 to 12 hours a day without the slightest bit of discomfort. The brace provides terrific support with laces and 3 straps. I have two minor issues. The two side straps are about 1 inch too long or need I inch more Velcro. If that were done, I might want to tighten them a bit more. Also, the bottom of the brace has a solid circular piece of elastic. If this were adjustable, it would be much easier to remove the brace. Sometimes, It is quite difficult to remove, especially if you want to take it off quickly. Braces with laces usually have great support but are difficult to get on or off. I chose this brace because I thought it would be easy to get off since it only has a few eyelets and it has plastic around the eyelets.

It works as intended to prevent ankle rolling. My calves and ankles is very thin, so it is hard to get tight enough right at the ankle for talus stability. This brace is easier to lace and I like that the part that goes around the lower foot the lace doesn’t rap around the bottom of the foot. This has an elastic like fitting instead, so makes it more comfortable than the older version.

I just sprained my ankle, and I have tried two other brands and I can tell you this is the best performing one. So much pain relief and support . Excellent product and quality.

Background: -D1 outfielder... two weeks before playoffs I slide into second base, (incorrectly on my error trying to break up a double play with a late slide) and did everything short from snapping my left ankle. Tore a lot of ligaments Needless to say, it is a weak spot on my lower half. -Avid snowboarder (Aggressive) -Wakeboarder and wake surfer, (could use some improvement in this category but it's still fun) -Mountain Biker, hard enduro and DH rider (took a 10 year hiatus because of baseball). This is the reason for the purchase... I have gone through plenty of ankle support products. this is sturdy, out of the way (you can tie your shoes tightly) and it is comfortable. I was considering cutting off the excesses straps and was more interested in the lace up portion of the product. Didn't have to modify a thing. This is the first review i've ever written because it has helped me tremendously. I'm 6'3 with a size 10.5-11ish depending on the brand. Bought a medium and it worked perfectly. This item is impossible to put on. The instructions were horrible. I was never able to use the product and guess what, they won't let me return this item even though I had not used it. I highly suggest you not buy products from Mueller Sports Medicine due to, in my case, they won't let me return an item that is impossible for me to put on.

Why is this brace the best I have ever used for my ankle? This brace is comfortable, offers stability and support without digging into areas of my foot. Other braces that have an internal stiffener on the sides tend to dig inward into the sides of my foot causing painful bruising. This Mueller ankle brace does its job without any stiffeners. The Mueller ankle brace is now my favorite go-to brace. I will buy this again... AAAA++++

If you have a twisted ankle, a sprained ankle, tendon issue, or ligament issue then you will not be disappointed with this product. Materials are high quality and very durable materials and its made to last. This is the second Mueller support product I have purchased over the last several years and I would always consider Mueller before other manufacturers as a result of my satisfaction.

Bought this to help manage an achilles tendonitis I acquired while training. The product was recommended to me by a podiatrist and I found it to be very effective. The brace is easy to put on and I found it comfortable to wear. My only advice would be to wear it with long socks to avoid any rubbing. I found that on the runs it was able to provide enough support but also allowed sufficient amount of flexibility so that I could run without creating an abnormal gait.

Can be used on left or right feet, Very strong and sturdy design, not so bulky when worn that I can't wear my shoes. Stabilizes my weak ankle fantastically for any activity. I wouldn't recommend any other product. I no longer need to deal with medical sprain tape, saving money and time (and the hairs on my legs). I just don't recommend wearing the device full time, It is designed for exercise or short burst activity, while it is comfortable to wear, by design it is restrictive so prolonged usage will result in discomfort and possibly blood flow restriction.
