Dead insects are collected in the detachable tray at the base of the unit for clean and easy disposal. For indoor use only. Contents: 3 x Insect killers, 1 cleaning brush. 2 year warranty.

Useless waste of money
I have had these plugged in now for two weeks and they have not attracted or killed a single insectThey also emit such a bright blue light that you cannot have them in a bedroomThey do however make very good nightlights as they light up my staircase and landing - if you like that sort of thing maybe they are for youHowever as insect killers they are totally useless and a complete waste of moneyShame on the manufacturers and amazon for selling them

Catches Moths.
This fly catching gadget has not caught any flies. However it does catch a few moths. Not many but some. It doesn't kill them. It gives off a comforting blue light. After a few days I take it into the bathroom and open it up over the sink with water in it. Open the plastic door and shake out maybe four or five moths. They are usually still alive but get stuck onto the surface of the water. Thats why you need to put some water in the washbasin.I am happy with this product.

Mosquito massacre instrument and nice night light
They should better advertise this as a mosquito eliminator and not an insect killer. It doesn't seem to do much to flies but the Mosquitoes and insects generally attracted to light don't stand a chance. I've used this for 5+ years, switching on at night and switching off during the day.Very satisfied customer here.

Reliable and very effective against biting insects, they don't work against commonal-garden house flies (blue bottles ext)
I have been running two of these units for about 5 years. These were sold via Aldi as single units. I have one in my bedroom and one on my landing. They are particularly good at attracting and dispatching small flying biting insects that invade your house at night looking for a blood meal. They have also attracted small moths that might ravage your soft furnishings. They are no good for house flies like no bottles, but then the packaging never claimed they were, and I've not seen anyone selling them claiming that they are. I am intending buying more from my experiences thus far, as they don't seem to consume much electricity or cause any interference issues to wifi or mobile reception and are silent in operation. The blue light imitated doesn't affect my ability to go to or stay asleep as it is of a low level and deep blue.

Looks as if it may work, but does not.
I have had a full summer season's (night-time) use, and it has failed to catch a single insect. The only hesitation I had, before utterly condemning this thing was the possibility that its light frequency may be selective in the species it attracts (I have read the comments of the lone positive reviewer, who caught lots of mosquitoes). But if this should be the case, the manufacturer should discover this property and declare it.My target species were small moths and clothes moths, and in desperation to prove its efficacy, I have tried the machine outside on an extension cable for one hot summer's evening so full of insects that after 10min of wearing a white LED head torch I was starting to inhale them from the cloud around my head. This device.....caught none of them.So by this dismal failure, it has condemned itself. This means that both the energy consumed in making and running it, and the extraction of the oil used as raw material for its plastic are both just a bit more pointless environmental degradation I feel ashamed to have been the cause of. Not to mention the landfill space it will occupy. So if YOU are currently thinking of buying one...please think again. And if, after this thought, you still want to throw your money away on it, how about giving the money to the appeal for Cecil the lion instead? It would do a lot more use if employed in this way.

con!
This deserves zero stars, but there is no option for zero stars!Do not buy this light, it's a total waste of time. I've tried it in a room at night with flies, next day, guess what - yep flies still flying around and none caught in light. It's total junk, it should be banned from sale as it is not "fit for purpose". Don't waste your money on it.Mine's going back for a full refund.

Rubbish - doesn't work
Bought one of these units from John Lewis. Tried it for a week in various locations with flies in the room. It never caught any of them. The blue light is simply a blue coloured LED and NOT a proper Ultra Violet lamp, flies just aren't attracted to it - even in a dark room. Absolute rubbish. Returned to John Lewis and got a refund.
