High-quality pure vanilla extract at a great value
This pure vanilla extract is high-quality and really affordable. When I first saw the price I thought it must be a mistake. I hope Amazon doesn't change the price. I use this vanilla extract to flavor my yogurt. Prior to finding this, I was using the more expensive McCormick's brand. This is just as good and even cheaper. The extract has the strong flavor and aroma of vanilla as expected. I love that it comes in 8oz because I eat yogurt every day and a bottle lasts a long time. A little goes a long way. Don't hesitate to buy a bottle... it's great stuff.

Exactly what I wanted. Delicious addition to many beverages and cooking uses.
VERY pleased with entire transaction. I plan to have a bottle of this wonderful raspberry flavoring in my refrigerator from now on. I bought it to try to add a more appealing flavor to a protein drink I have to have. It's wonderful and can be used in baking, in coffee, any imaginable use. PERFECT flavor. So very glad I found it! Experiment with it as to amount. It only takes a little..

RICHLY mellow true vanilla +++
This *Rodelle Pure Vanilla Extract" is RICHLY mellow tue vanilla -- both very concentrated and with excellent true vanilla flavor extracted via 35% alchohol / water solution to fully extract vanilla -- yet without overwhelming alchohol interference. It may seem a bit costly to some folks -- but well worth its price for such quality vanilla that goes a long way when added to coffee or tea via a few drops per cuppa. As well as it enhances hot-tea -- I especially like it when added to ice-tea to enrich flavor in a mellow way that can be as refreshing as lemon or lime without the tartness of those -- for a mellow effect more like Earl Grey -- or mint +++

a good vanilla
I didn't realize this was a bourbon vanilla until after I purchased it. My sister used it in cutout cookies thinking it was going to be too "bourbon"y because it does have that faint odor but it worked well in the cookies.

Tastes like homemade
I bake and make other desserts quite a lot. I usually make my own vanilla extract with bourbon Madagascar and/or Tahitian vanilla beans (when I can find the latter) and vodka. I've used Three Olives and Svedka vodka, but an even cheaper one is fine. It take about 2 months to really develop the flavor. Sometimes I run out and it's good to have a bottle on hand for those occasions. I thought this tasted just like my homemade vanilla, only the alcohol is more pronounced. That could be because I reuse the same jar to make the vanilla in repeatedly. So, I have reserve seeds from prior use, plus 5 sraped beans (to every 1 cup of vodka). This is very good vanilla extract as is, in my opinion. I would recommend it. However, simply because I'm used to having the beautiful flecks of seeds in my vanilla, I will probably scrape a half of a vanilla bean into the jar. I'd buy this again. I do wish it came in a glass bottle, but the plastic is BPA free and recycled. I'll take that.

Great for the money
There is some leakage or dripping down the side when pouring, so I make sure to pour it into measuring spoon over the mixing bowl so my dessert gets every drop. It would still be a great value if those drops were lost though. Will absolutely be buying this again. This is at least as good as the mid-price grocery store brands, or my palate is not discerning enough to tell the difference. I use a lot of vanilla in baking and this price is great- I no longer have to feel guilty when I use 2 tablespoons instead of the 1 teaspoon a recipe may call for. I made vanilla pudding from scratch and used equal amounts Rodelle extract and Nielsen-Massey vanilla bean paste. The two extracts are different enough that combining them has an amazing result. I have not done a taste test to compare the two separately though. Anyway the Nielsen stuff is much more expensive so I will stick to Rodelle by itself for routine use.

Works well as an ingredient
I use this as an ingredient for waffles and other things I make. I like the flavor and it works well for whatever I need it for when the recipe calls for vanilla extract.

After reading all the positive reviews when I finally received the bottle I was underwhelmed. I expected more of a rich vanilla fragrance but this just smells ordinary and not any better than any of the cheaper vanilla essence I bought in the past.
