Perfect for hard rock.
I bought the 8mm bit as I have a gate that requires fixing to a stone wall. The drill bit performed extremely well and bored a perfectly round hole the full length of the bit. It's always worth paying a little more for tools if you want a hassle free job. It drilled into hard rock without overheating, unlike a standard masonry bit. Well worth the price.

Wow, these drill bits fantastic
I brought 4 of these because some of the reviews said they were not that good. Well I tell you now I am pleased that I did, not only did they preform extremely well but I only used one drill bit to drill 9 not 1 but 9 holes into an old flint stone building for a support bracket. To say I’m pleased and happy is without a doubt an understatement.
