RadonAway 50017 Easy Read Manometer, Blue

Easy install of a critical component of a functional radon system. Instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Fit up perfectly, and eve screws are good quality self tapping making installation fall exactly into place. Functions accurately immediately upon installation.

It's mechanically simple, and works as intended. As a bonus, it comes with an informational brochure about how to use it and set it up, as well as a bunch of stickers for labeling parts of your radon mitigation system for future reference (e.g. "Caution: Radon Gas >>>" for labeling pipes, and stickers for labeling power cables for your radon fan so people don't cut them while doing other work).

been running 23030-1 RP145 radon fan for 3 months now. Very quiet, actually un-hearable with the furnace or other stuff running in my utility room I did buy the this 50017 manometer for $12 and would highly recommend that. I periodically look at it to make sure the fan is still sucking/blowing. You can put your hand on the fan and feel a slight vibration so you know its running but the manometer actually lets you see the amount of air movement by looking at the blue liquid. Just be aware, it does not provide Cubic Feet Per Minute or any velocity measurements. It just lowers blue juice on one side and raises it on the other so you know there is a difference in pressure. DONT FORGET TO REMOVE THE RUBBER STOPPERS, or the blue juice won't flow freely between the two tubes. On my system the blue juice seems to remain about 1" higher on one side than the other. Im sure bigger fans would cause a larger difference in blue liquid height.

Bought this like everyone else, to monitor a radon vent system. This "gauge" does that very well and simply! My only issues is that mine came low on fluid (about 1/2-3/4" below 0), plenty if you just want it to show if they system is working but not enough to really measure. So I ended up buying a Motion Pro 08-0581 carb manometer refill kit which looks to have the same fluid! Now it is filled properly and I can monitor the actual level. 4 stars for low fluid. I didn't contact the seller about it, in hind sight might have gotten the fluid for free? But wanted to install ASAP and didn't want to wait.

It was the exact replacement that we needed. Easy to install and great directions too. This manometer was how we knew our radon unit fan wasn't working. Important to have!

Well it’s a manometer mainly used for vacuum or inches of water pressure, it is on my radon pipe below the fan
