I use this satellite receiver for receiving the FTA channels on Galaxy 19. This is exactly what I wanted for the price range. Yes, it has Galaxy 19 built in, but you need to refresh the channel list as the channel lineup is always changing. The major thing I really like about this is that it does not build up high heat when in use like so many of the small inexpensive satellite receivers do, this one stays a lot cooler! I haven't figured out features like the PVR recording or decoding options, but will have to do a bit more research to what they can do, as I'm rather new to the FTA satellite thing. NOTE: Even though it says it configured automatic, it comes set to european tv standards and not U.S. so you may have to use the video out at first to set it up for certain televisions or you'll get a black picture. Once you get it set, you're good to go!

I'm using for DvB only. Once I got it running, I LOVE it. BUT - the directions are HORRIBLE. Awesome picture and sound quality even on NTSC/analog output. The most important thing IMHO is that it defaults to PAL, not NTSC. You may not even notice that if you use the HDMI out, but I use a NTSC video modulator to share with several TVs in the house. I had a really difficult time with startup because the screen was almost unreadable. Once it was set to NTSC, everything else became easy. Good receiver sensitivity, much better channel information than my old box. 4 stars only because of the directions. If the manual was better I'd give it six stars.

I connected this to an existing dish with a weak signal and it brought in Galaxy 19 right away. I have not used it to install or tune a dish. Picture clarity was good. I didn't use the wifi features. This took several months to arrive since package got lost and vendor didn't let me know. They have been responsive and the 4 units I ordered did arrive. As soon as I connected it to my tuned dish I had Galaxy 19 and all the channels. I deleted the channels I don't want (most of them gone) and then plugged in a USB to save it as I have to program additional units the same.When I did a factory reset Galaxy 19 was no longer on the satellite list which is strange since it booted up with it active. I inserted the USB and loaded it and all is good. Good menus and picture. I buy these as replacement units for local customers. I rated it at 4 stars because of the long delay in receiving the items, but I appreciate the responsiveness of the company when contacted.

Receiver has great video, to me it has excellent video quality, looks great on my hd tv. But the receiver is not the newest model with the latest features. Blind scans quick on most satellites, but I cannot scan the ku satellites at 91 or 103 because it hangs up during scanning, sometimes listing the same transponder 12-15 times or more and will not ccomplete the blind scan. Its not much use to me as is, and I can't find any updated software for it. Nor did I really expect to, for the price. I wouldn't recommend it for everyday use, if you need a reliable device. Its fine for Gal 19 ku channels, if thats all you want it for. As others say, the audio varies from channel to channel,,weak on some and great on others. June27 update: I gave this rec one extra star for being a survivor! Lightning zap caused the little rec to go into PAL mode, which is tough to get out of when you can't see the menus on the tv screen. Finally after trying the 3rd older tv I have, I could view the menu and change the video output back to NTSC. It still is working. UNPLUG your stuff when lightning approaches!!

The KOQIT KI satellite receiver leaves a marginal impression. Overall sensitivity is not on a par with other receivers. Galaxy 19 stations were NOT properly pre-programmed as described and required a full erase and blind scan that only found about one half the stations normally received. This was confirmed with another receiver on the same dish. Remote operation was sluggish with mushy remote buttons and no tactile feedback to be felt. Wifi linked appropriately but Youtube function is non-existent. This unit is getting returned. Spend a few more dollars for improved performance.

The product does a blind scan and picks up "some" of the available stations from, for example G19, but not all of them, in comparison to another brand this is replacing. Of those it does pickup, only 1/2 have audio. It appears to me that the blind scan is actually a pre-programmed set of known channels for each Satellite, instead of a true blind scan. Furthermore, whatever is finds, you can't modify, further evidence it's preprogrammed. The software update for the box doesn't work and sometimes there are options for a second audio and not at others. I am returning it. Seems like the software is flacky and without audio on 50% of the stations, it's useless.

Dislike. - get good signals dish is install properly can get only two chanels and they are encrypted the box is useless
