Brasso Multi-Purpose Metal Polish, 8 oz

I got stuck polishing the club trophies. This product worked well on the brass sitting in a closet for 14 years. Easy to work with and although after reading the reviews, I was concerned it would have an odor and it was actually very mild. Shiny trophies now ready to display again. Been using this product for many many years. Never fails to impress me. Use a sponge and gently rub the brass with this cream and the brass will be beautiful. I often will clean an item twice, bringing out even more shine. In the past I have revived some really old/distressed brass items, and Brasso NEVER fails to achieve exceptional results.

As a deep cleaner and polisher for a large 50 year old brass handle, it worked absolutely great. This handle not only had 50 years of dirt and oxidation, but also had paint, stain, and varnish all over it bc the previous owner didn’t bother to remove the piece from the door whenever they did anything to the door. This handle has easy to remove screws too, so there was no excuse. It is very ornate too with a lot of crevices so it was everywhere. Worked like a charm, easy to use, worked relatively quickly. Use a toothbrush for best results as ornate pieces won’t be helped by a cloth unless it’s flat. The varnish was the most difficult thing to remove, in some spots I had to let it sit for 10 minutes in a second application, but it all came off! BTW, if you just have a bit of dirt and oxidation, this may be overkill as it is strong (it has ammonia in it) but for tough jobs like the one I had, it’s great. (A polish alone without ammonia would be better for much easier jobs and for maintenance.)

Good use for dull colored brassy hardwares and giving life back to my bags and belts. The cleaning power is superior and fast acting with just few wipes. I also tried using this to the bathroom faucet and voila! looks brand new and shiny again.

Brasso has always been the best brass polish & still is. It is not pleasant to use, cloth gets all black & it smells awful, but it cleans beautifully & leaves a pretty shine on brass. I can't say more than that, except don't bother with other brtass cleaners.

Works miracles but it is quite stinky. I used this clean pennies for my penny floor, copper pipe I have as quarter round and use it often on my brass sink. Do make sure you clean the clean the Brasso off thoroughly because it will turn a green/brown color that’s hard to remove once it’s dried onto the surface of what you are cleaning

I had trouble finding this in my local stores. I own some brass bottom pans and some other brass products and this Brasso works really good to clean my items up. It lasts a long time and is a good value so I highly recommended it.

I'm comparing this to the old Brasso. I ran out of my old metal can of Brasso and got this new formula and it's 1/4 as effective as the old stuff. The old stuff was magic and worked very well. This stuff takes 3 times the elbow grease to be half as good.
