Lightweight, easy to use
I have two gas powered blower vacs. While both work great, they are heavy and cumbersome to use for small jobs such as clearing off the back patio. So, thought an electric would be the way to go since I could store it by the back door without any concern about leaking gas/oil.Looked at serval models, and settled on the Worx for two reasons: 1) I have one of their chain saws and have been very pleased with it; and 2) they offer the quick-shift ability from blower to vac. I have that on one of my gas blowers and absolutely love it. While the quick shift design does rob some blowing power, it more than makes up for it with ease of use. There are a couple of other quick-shift electric blower/vacs out there (models from Ryobi, Troy-Bilt and Yardman) but the Worx seemed to be better-built, and has a more user-friendly bag design. After several uses I am 100% satisfied with my purchase. The blowing power is adequate. It won't compete with a good gas blower, but it gets the job done, especially on hard surfaces. The vac performance is excellent. Pulled in all sorts of leaves, twigs and mulched them up very well. Even held its own when it came to wet leaves, which are a challenge even for a gas machine. Took longer, but Worx snarfed them up.Weight is great - compared with a gas model, this is a featherweight. Also love the fact that you can access the impeller to clear out clogs without using any tools. Nice, thoughtful design feature.I have mixed feelings about the bent nozzle. On the plus side, it comes in handy for some tasks, such as using the vac under a table or to get the leaves that pack around the base of bushes. But, on level surfaces it is a bit of a pain since you have to stoop a bit. I'm 6 ft 2in, so if you're shorter that won't be a problem. The bag construction is decent. Not as robust as the bag on my Stihl, but seems like it will last for some time. The collection bags on any blower vac are its Achilles heel. I've found that extending bag life is possible if you take it easy with the zipper, don't fill it to bursting, and leave it open to dry when not in use. Plan on replacing the zipper after a couple of years. It's easy to do - just cut the teeth off the old one, and sew the new one (a long, heavy-duty jacket zipper) over the old. It won't look tidy, but it's fast, easy and works. Done it a few times with other bags on other blowers. While I'll continue to use a gas blower in the fall for the big jobs, this guy is much lighter, quieter and easier to use for the smaller jobs. Highly recommend.

A small extra hand is always helpful
Well, I've had my Worx Trivac for about 2months already and in my opinion it is a good machine. It is durable, it does what it says it is suppose to do and I find that I use it on a regular basis for my small lawn clean up. However, the down side of this machine is that it is not POWERFUL. I had a hurricane hit through my part of town and I had a major clean up to do. So what better way to test this thing than a major clean up, right? Well, I ended up physically doing most of the work, because the Worx Trivac was not powerful enough to do this job. so it took forever to blow or to suck up the leaves and mulch at a nice moderate pace. The Mulcher fan is made of a harden plastic, which is great just for leaves, but I wish it was made of sharp metal, so it could mulch the twigs and sticks as well. the little tree sticks kept getting stuck in the fan and I had to constantly unclogg the twigs from the fan. All in all, after I raked most of the leaves into small piles around my lawn(which I shoudln't have to do, by the way). I used the Worx Trivac sort of like a broom to suck it all up. and to clean up the little leaves and debri that was just left behind after I did the majority of the work. This machine is good for small clean up jobs here and there, but if you have weeks worth of leaves and fallen sticks from your trees, you will find that due to the lack of power of the machine, you will be out there all day. I am happy I bought it because it does minor leaves clean up with ease. And I use it as a extra hand, so I don't have to keep bending down to pick up leaves and stuffing it the leaf bag.

OOPS. HAVE TO AMEND PRIOR REVIEW
Since I hurt my back a few months ago, my Wife has been picking up on the jobs I have not been capable of. This includes but is not limited to raking the leaves under 3 large trees in our yard. When she finally broke down and admitted that they must be raked last Saturday, I tearfully had to watch her toiling in the front yard, raking, dumping, raking and dumping.Because of my back problems, I could not stand any longer and lay down in front of the TV and ended up watching an ad for the "WORX TRIVAC". When my Wife reentered the house, the 1/2 hour ad started again and I asked her to watch it. After it was over, both of us agreed to buy the "TRIVAC" without hesitation. For a year now, we have owed another "WORX" product and could not be happier with it's performance. Now I must get a dig in for AMAZON.COM. Being a purchaser on AMAZON for some time now,I continuously am impressed with their unquestioned service and customer satisfaction. Needless to say, I had the manufacturer's pricing from the TV ad and I went to the Internet for comparisons. I checked AMAZON last, as I always do, as they are usually the lowest (including shipping). My AMAZON purchase was made on Saturday, November 12, 2011. Get this...........DELIVERY TO MY HOME WAS MADE TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH.......2 WORKING DAYS LATER. NO CHARGE FOR DELIVERY !!!!!No SELLER I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH HAS BEATEN THAT unless a very high overnight delivery fee is paid. AGAIN.....GREAT WORK AMAZON.Now for the product itself. My Wife tried it once (as I watched). We both put forth the following comments: EFFICIENT, LIGHT WEIGHT, EASY TO MANAGE, CONTROLS SIMPLE TO OPERATE, THE MANUFACTURER'S CLAIM OF 10 to 1 MULCH RATIO EASILY MET, MORE POWERFUL THAN OTHER VACS. / LEAF BLOWERS OWNED and (let me regress) DELIVERED TO MY DOOR IN 2 BUSINESS DAYS AT NO ADDITIONAL COST BY AMAZON !!!!We FULLY RECOMMEND this product, and at the same time....................AGAIN FULLY RECOMMEND AMAZON for a reliable place to shop and purchase.John GriffithsSpringfield, OR.AMENDMENT..............WELL WE HAD TO USE THIS MACHINE FOR A SECOND TIME IN A FEW DAYS. THIS TIME THE LEAVES WERE DAMP. THE TRIVAC CANNOT HANDLE THE TASK AT ALL. THE LEAVES MUST BE PERFECTLY DRY TO BLOW AND OR VAC. ANY MOISTURE WILL LEAVES TO STICK TOGETHER AND THE GROUND WHEN BLOWING AND CLOG THE MECHANISM WHEN VAC. COMPLETELY USELESS WHEN AN OWNER NEEDS IT IN THE MOIST FALL SEASON.WE ALSO OWN A VERY INEXPENSIVE BLOWER (NO VAC.)(WALMART VARIETY) WHICH BLOWS FAR BETTER THAN THIS TRIVAC.WE CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS TRIVAQC FOR ANYTHING BUT DRY LEAVES. IT IS SIMPLY NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH AND WILL CLOG UP IN VAC. MODE. (NOTICE IN THE TV AD ON THIS UNIT, THEY BLOW / VAC PERFECTLY DRY LEAVES? I SEE THAT NOW....TOO LATE.)
