Well balanced
Well balanced machine, very robust and easy to start. Clears heavy grass and brush with ease. Powerful, easy to break down for storage and good value for money.

Brilliant strimmer
Brilliant strimmer very powerful. The quality is great. A bit weighty but it has a strap well worth it .

Very poor quality
I bought this product as a replacement for a Stihl brush cutter that i had for 25 years with no problems until it finally gave up on me. I admit i was tempted by the cheap price of this one, but having used it for 6 months with the engine constantly stopping for no apparent reason, i am so frustrated with it that i have decided to scrap it and go out and buy Stihl again. I would certainly advise anyone against buying this very poorly built piece of kit.

Good robust piece of kit with the exception of the chocolate teapot trimmer ‘tap’n’go’ head.
On initial examination this looked like a well built and robust machine. On reading the instructions for the starting procedure it seemed as if I’d bought a space shuttle rather than a piece of garden machinery. The manual is pretty useless in fact - 500 pages of which only 25 are in English and they’re pretty sketchy at best. Once up and running the thing operated well with the blade attached - you could do some serious damage with that! Chopped through bush stems etc with ease. The ‘tap’n’go’ trimmer head was a different story - the lines did not feed out as they are supposed to and the casing cracked within around 30mins of light use. Taking the thing apart and reassembling is a nightmare. Went back to the blade immediately. I’ll invest in a fixed line head from another supplier.

Strong and reliable for heavy work
Bought this to replace a long serving McCulloch strimmer that was past its best. This one starts up every time without fuss and makes easy work of long grass and weeds. Very powerful, which means it flicks up stones if you are not careful: I have accidentally broken 2 windows and an expensive glass door this summer. It comes with a harness rather than a mere shoulder strap, well worth it as this is not a light machine. Very economical with fuel - a full tank often lasts as much as two hours. McCulloch have redesigned the wire cutting head, but I prefer the older version.
