Canon VIXIA mini X

Not for everyone but if you want good sound, this is it. I use it with my mirrorless sony as a second angle and for sound, just the sound alone makes this worth it. No its not as tough as a gopro but this is great for selfie video, and the mics ROCK. if you are a vlogger, or a news reporter, this is a must have. The only cons are its not great in low light and not everyone likes the wide angle. But for me its the best thing ever, no need to sync audio anymore on youtube or use an external mic. That alone has changed my life.

Obviously this wouldn't replace a XF405 or an AX30 etc but for the price (i got them when they were $399) they were perfect for player cams on our arcade style video game streams. they blow webcams out of the water the sound quality is excellent for an in-camera mic and the image quality and field of view is awesome with a decent light source. clean HDMI out a flip up screen for setting frame and continues power! Oh i have 3 of these that haven't been turned off in 1.5 years and streams perfectly. So if you can find them and you need a good player cam for streaming games both from 3-5ft away or 1ft away this is a perfect little camera. I have 6 but over the years i now only have 2 left the two i've never taken down and have been running 24/7. i wish canon would bring these babies back with some changes. love these guys!

Remote operation with the Android app does not work! Significant misrepresentation by Canon!

This camcorder is exactly what I need to improve my selfie videoblog. There is still room for improvement for this product. It would have been better is Canon would be a little more generous by including a pouch bag, microphone, earphone, scratch protection film, and car charger in the standard accessories in the box. It would also be best if the battery charges while it is connected by USB to the PC or laptop. MP4 is great, but it would have the convenient if it can give me a choice to save or convert the video recording to MP3, AVL, and other format.

This camera is definitely meant for vlogging, which is why I bought it. The form factor makes it easy to carry around, as I have it strapped into a Grid-It in my messenger bag. The built-in stand is a nice feature, and I love that the screen flips over to both sides so that you can easily record yourself or your subject. The stereo microphones on this camera are great, and I love the way it captures my voice when I'm in the middle of a large crowd. I wish it was a bit easier to switch the fisheye on and off, but that's a minor thing. Recording in low-light levels is about the same when it comes to Canon's other smaller cameras, so don't expect to be able to see much during night shots. It also does not have optical zoom. But I can forgive these things, because this camera really isn't meant for making movies. It's just a really convenient vlog camera. One of my biggest gripes is actually the fact that there is no way to charge this via USB, which is a feature that many portable cameras have nowadays. This camera does come with a proprietary AC adapter to stay plugged into a wall while recording but it would be nice to be able to plug my camera into the same external battery pack that I use to charge my other devices when I'm on the go. I have found some third party cables but have yet to try them, and I'm also nervous about their quality and safety. Come on, Canon. Catch up! And here's my list of pros and cons... Great for casual blogging, but quality wasn't up to what I was looking for. However, great deal for the price.

This camera has become my favorite go-everywhere camera. Ideal for family videos, the wide angle allows for close up shots to get everyone in the frame in small rooms. Great microphone, so there is no need to add an external one. I can hang this from neck, put it in my pocket, small bag etc. The stand at the bottom also eliminates the need for a tripod in many cases. Plus you are getting Canons image quality. I just love it, can't say enough good things about it.

That was exactly the camera I was looking for. I mainly use it for vlogging and interviews. Sound quality is astounding. No hissing, nothing. Just pure crisp sound. It is able to record whispers as well as loud traffic without any noticeable distortion. The fish eye effect is not too strong and annoying (though it is possible with some video editing software to correct the curve). I haven't tried all the options, and they are numerous. A very sturdy construction. No one has to worry about the flipping screen and hinges construction to break easily, unusual but surely one of the best features of this camera. Battery lasts for about 2 hours when filming continuously which is great. I haven't tried it in low light environment and haven't played with the wifi options. Indeed the touch screen may not be as accurate especially if you have large fingers but that is such a minor thing in comparison to the outstanding audio and video capabilities. A little bit of getting used to work with the screen and voilà ! I absolutely do not regret this purchase. I would recommend a high quality SD card because it is able to record video faster and avoid frame drops also the transfer rate of those cards on recent computers is very fast.

What a great small Vlogging camera, that perfectly meets our vlogging need, it has wide angle. It's small, compact, has amazing sound quality, sturdy construction. This camera is very light and so easy to bring everywhere and record everyday vlogs. We love this camera!!! The only thing is that this camera is not everyone, we would say it's more for people who vlog and do a lot of social media. The biggest Con, is that it doesn't have any zoom.

Really good camera, made for blogging, it doesn't zoom tho.
