Classic Expanded Notebook, Soft Cover, Large (5" x 8.25") Dotted, Black, 400 Pages

I seriously can not recommend this journal enough!! I researched for months and eventually landed on this one! The paper is soo soft! There is ghosting and certain mediums will bleed through (not a huge issue for me since I’m documenting my life). The elastic band is sturdy and great quality it doesn’t over stretch and become useless which is an issue I’ve had in the past! I love the soft cover it allowed room for the journal to thicken up and to open up without becoming disfigured! Highly highly highly recommend! If you’re thinking about getting it just do it you won’t regret it!!

While this item is a little pricey, the quality is very good.

Aside from the pages being a little thin (my rollerball pen bleeds through to the backside pretty bad), this is a great product. I would recommend it.

I needed ONE journal that would last a whole year full of trackers, planning and ACTUAL journaling, and 400 pages suited that just fine. I bought this product though the feel and construction of it was excellent (I tend to be very rough with my journals - they aren't precious, pretty things). BUT, the paper is extremely thin which leads to extreme bleeding and ghosting depending on the inks you use. So many people insist on using fountain pens to make themselves feel fancy. If you can lower your expectations and use a medium tip ball point pen it works perfectly well. Even certain colored mildliners do fairly well. HOWEVER - it is interesting that this is the second Moleskine expanded that I've bought, and the paper is just the slightest bit thicker than my first. Paper grades are supposed to have a standard but apparently even these can be off on occasion. Still, it's my favorite book to write in!

Updated 4/5 review I've decided to bump this up to a 4/5 from 3/5. Overall, I've been very pleased with how this notebook has held up over the past ~6 months of use. I haven't yet gotten to the pages I was worried were loose at the back, but it doesn't seem to have loosened at all with further use, so I don't think any pages will be falling out (again, will update if that changes!). The reason I won't give it 5 stars is that the indentations from the bookmarks are STILL on every single page due to how tightly this was packaged. The gap beside the binding is mostly gone now, but all of the pages have a crease running down the entire page, which is annoying. --- Original 3/5 review Been using Moleskine's soft covers for quite a while. The paper quality isn't amazing, but no other soft covers quite fit what I want, so I just keep coming back. Ordered this because I use 2 soft covers for a year of bullet journaling and figured this would be good for all of 2020. However, I'm not sure they've quite nailed this recent "expanded" edition, at least for soft covers (I've used a hard cover one for months & it's been great). Having 2 bookmarks is a MAJOR plus, but because the packaging was so tight & both bookmarks were on the same page, they've left indentions on almost EVERY page from where they were placed. They also left a huge gap beside the binding on that page because there simply wasn't enough room to put BOTH there. The bookmarks feel like they could come out very easily. In some places the binding is too tight, in others it's so loose I'm worried that with normal wear & tear/usage, the pages might fall out before I can use them. Perhaps I'm being hyperbolic and with a bit of breaking in, all will be as normal. If/When that happens, I'll update this review. But after using as many Moleskines as I have, the quality seems like a pretty big downgrade from their standard soft cover, which I've never had a problem with apart from the page thickness.

Be sure to check your notebook as soon as you get it. Mine is mis-printed in several signatures. Other than that it is a great notebook with a ton of writing space!

I love these. I cant tell you how many I have used... countless. Classy looking to carry for business and this size is perfect for my purse and briefcase.
